Our new paper in @PsychScience finds that children of liberal parents engaged in costly third-party punishment against in-group members, whereas children of conservative parents engaged in costly punishment against out-group members.

@johncutlefish @viktorcessan @mrtcropper @ejames_c@movito@hibaymj@hmaisonjames The secret lies in work at different levels at same time, varying the perspective. But how to apply that to a self-serving assessment? I have no idea.
@johncutlefish @viktorcessan @mrtcropper @ejames_c@movito@hibaymj@hmaisonjames Yeap. We call it the different levels of abstraction when you sense or describe a tension. The higher the level, the easier for people to agree with you. The lower level more actionable it is.
@gabrieldread A experiência toda vale. Passar uns dias no círculo polar durante o inverno é uma experiência única. Se você for para um local com grandes chances de avistar a Aurora, terá grande chance de encontrar pessoas de vários países e será também um experiência multicultural.
@AimeeGroth@tensiondriven@gailbradbrook@RonanHarrington XR made their own constitution on Sept/19 that says that they don't use Holacracy. From the document: "It is important to understand that this is not Holacracy and that XR is not practicing Holacracy; and to clearly and consistently communicate this message."
@johncutlefish A series of working agreements can generate a process. But a process can be mandatory and therefore, with little space for agreements. So, there are different types of process as well as agreements.
@yanche@NicolaiFoss@petergklein Click-bait title. They are not backing away, they are experimenting with MBD on top of Holacracy. And that's the way you are supposed to use.
@marcogomes Ele já morou por anos em uma van. Quando ficou famoso e rico, comprou uma van melhor e botou uma grana considerável em uma fundação que oferece painéis solares para regiões afastadas e pobres. https://t.co/Z0wVKVI64z
@hemppah They dream about a BDUF process. Start by acknowledging the unindented consequences of many "best practices". Pick a pain point, make small bets, amplify what's working.
@carolsanford I disagree with a lot of the content. One specific: "Assumes the same structure and process will serve the needs of every customer." Holacracy is just a meta-process and does propose a way of serving the customer. It's agnostic.
The companies who will thrive in this so-called VUCA world aren’t the fastest or biggest, but those who are able to turn the systemic anxiety response to the uncertainty into creative energy. Problem is most leaders deny & defend against the anxiety vs engaging it.
@hemppah In process consultation there is a distinction between owning the client's problem and proposing an experiment to deal with it. Avoid the former, but do not dispense s the latter.
