@Baxter @ZachLowe_NBA Great podcast and great work but as a former attorney, the ’animus’ focus was obvious to me. Intent affects damages after a verdict is found. Worse proven intent = greater punitive damages/punishment. Not exusing it, but NBA was clearly using ‘lack of animus’ to justify result

@mgsiegler I love my Mini, but wish it were a bit taller (to accommodate a compressed but normal keyboard layout and to improve splitscreen) & had a Smart Keyboard; it would be an awesome ultra portable device. The small BT keyboards I’ve found are all terrible. Maybe for the next rev!

@JasonAten Except the M2 Air is great at heavier tasks too. E.g., Lightroom Classic’s subject/sky masks are practically instant, and pasting & recalc'ing masks takes a fraction of the time it took on my 2018 Mac Mini. Video exports are much faster too.

@pkafka @LaurenGoode I’ve gone weeks at a time only using Apple Pay. Only places that req cash/card for me are farmers market (cash only), restaurants, and gas stations, and latter 2 are getting better. My wife, though, never uses Apple Pay despite having it set up; have to build new muscle memory

@gruber @robert_lehar @om @stevesi @mjtsai That’s why I want one. I loved the 11” Air and 12” MB, but they weren’t powerful enough for my needs. Any M1 or M2 is now (I use a 2018 Mac mini and get by), so a tiny MacBook is exactly what I want. When I need more screen, that’s what an external monitor would be for.

@reneritchie iPad is my favorite device, but this could be welcome. Too often, it gets in the way of efficiency. But biggest problem is poor app UI, which don’t maximize screen space, including Apple’s own (e.g., Mail not allowing you to reference content in another email when composing).

@reneritchie I think you’re asking the wrong question … but answered the right question correctly. It’s admirable and right to respect your audience’s time. That might mean telling a longer story if it’s more valuable than the shorter one. Video length should be an outcome not a goal.

@BillSimmons Easiest way is for people to vote 1-15 regardless of position. What makes Luka a guard and Jokic a center? They both run the offense. The contortions the league to accommodate tradition/old ways of thinking and playing are making All NBA less relevant.

@ballmatthew Mid-budget content is getting wiped out; people either want super high end, or cheap content (e.g., reality tv, YouTube, documentaries) are “good enough” to do the job of filling time. Seems to be the same in all content industries (definitely the case in video games)
