India’s growth is powered by bankers serving cities to remotest villages. We stood through demonetisation & COVID. Implement govt schemes, service customers, loans, do compliance, audits, recovery and manage targets and transfers. Now we ask the promised.
#5DayBankingNow#FBOIOA
You ask bankers to deliver more, serve more and carry greater responsibility. Then why deny them a 5-day banking week?
Better working conditions support healthier employees, stronger families and sustainable productivity.
Bankers serve India. India’s bankers deserve a fair work-life balance.
Our Demand is just, delay is Not.Implement #5DayBankingNow @PMOIndia #FBOIOA
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

Distribution of grocery kits to 100 Housekeeping staff at Headoffice, BOI. Heartbreaking. Bankers tirelessly chase endless targets, implement every government scheme and serve at the remote corners all while facing regular transfers and away from families. Yet never in headlines neither for their work, nor for their death. @DFS_India@LabourMinistry
Tragic News from Baramati, Maharashtra
Shivshankar Mitra, Senior Manager at Bank of Baroda (Bhigwan Road branch), died by suicide inside the branch premises.
In his note, he cited severe work pressure as the reason for his extreme step.He expressed a wish to donate his eyes — even in death, showing deep compassion.
Such heartbreaking incidents are becoming alarmingly frequent across banks.
How long will the system ignore the human toll of unchecked workload and pressure?

@IOBIndia@DFS_India kindly look into incident of an employee being publicly humiliated including being called an idiot Such behavior violates basic standards of dignity and respect, and has a damaging impact not only on the individual mental health but also on their family
Mental harassment in the name of regular transfer should stop. PSB transfer policy needs serious attention, no one deserves to lose job due to someone's ego. @DFS_India@RBI@alashshukla@Bankers_We@idesibanda

PSU banks are vital to the economy and nation-building but treated unfairly by when it comes to staff welfare. Fair demands of 5day workweek, adequate hiring, and workplace protection remains ignored @nsitharaman@FinMinIndia@DFS_India#UnitedWeStand
An attack on a doctor everyone is on the streets in solidarity, demanding protection. Bankers have long been soft targets, facing constant challenges with little support. Bruised both internally and externally, we continue to serve in silence. @DFS_India@RBI@FinMinIndia
@DFS_India@RBI@NCWIndia Toxic work culture in PSU banks needs urgent attention. Overworked and understaffed employees face relentless pressure, humiliation, and threats of distant transfers for missing targets. The pressure have claimed many lives, yet remains ignored.
So as per info.
Two officers(RM) of @UnionBankTweets

@bankaffairs Sir, I shared the article about the unfortunate death of the staff in our BOI union group, no one even condoled it. The silence is the equal culprit.
