@Keir_Starmer Were your thoughts with Melissa Hortmans family in June shot dead in her own home for being a Democrat (a long with her husband and dog) The killing of Charlie Kirk is wrong but why is it apparently so much more wrong than all the other politically motivated killings of late.
@RichSwan74@sharrond62 Interesting. You're the first I've seen suggest this, I had definitely wondered it given the outpouring that has followed. No one gave a shit when Melissa Hortman was killed due to her political beliefs.....
No death due to politics is right but where was the outpouring for this lady, murdered in her own home (with her husband) for her views. The death of Charlie Kirk is being hijacked to build on the division and hatred he so embodied, frightening times.
This is Melissa Hortman, on June 14, 2025 she & her husband John were murdered in a politically motived attack. She stood for environment rights, abortion rights & sensible gun control policies.
No lowered flags!
Can we take a moment to remember her good works.
Please RT.
@KonstantinKisin The same way you lived in a world where Melissa Hortman was killed for her views but didn't feel the need to despair about it. Double standards seem rife across the world over this death.
@northytony@piersmorgan My husband was the same. 53, asked for a test as he was of "and age" doc tried to push back but he insisted. Prostatectomy last September and now cancer free. Could have been a lot worse if he'd not had the test. Don't understand why no national screening post 50 for men.
@surrealsavant@piersmorgan A PSA test is a blood test. There is no need for the finger up the arse. This does put men off being tested so helpful if you don't keep spreading it as it's no longer necessary.
@RyWills94@piersmorgan@DermotMurnaghan Not that I would ever agree with Piers Morgan but anyone can get a PSA test (if you are UK based and registered with a doctor) There's no privilege involved. Some docs will push back if you're under 50 but if requested they will do it. Just a simple blood test.
@i_iratus I'm fairly certain this is bullshit. O'Leary wheels this possibility out every few years for a bit of easy publicity (no such thing as bad publicity " and it's never happened. It's not the first time this story has come up, it won't happen.
@RainbowChazer @i_iratus To be fair if a plane stops suddenly they've got bigger concerns that falling over. I'm presuming, as with seating, any "standing" passengers would be strapped in.....
@BritishGasHelp Honestly no. I've gone round in circles today on live chat, over an hour and I'm tired. The way you handle bereavement with no empathy and a consistent 'computer says no' attitude and script is appalling. I will wait to hopefully hear from them and if not will come back to you.
@BritishGasHelp tell me why, as soon as I queried the final bill from my deceased mother's account your entire customer service team is now ghosting me. I sent statements, answered questions, no one will get back to me. You continue to try and take funds from her closed account.
@BritishGasHelp I have emailed many times regarding the final bill British Gas have sent after my mother's death. No one is replying. On top of that despite disputing the bill you have still attempted to take the balance from my dead mother's account - you should be ashamed.
@McBrian55@BritishGas Same here. I'm dealing with my mother's death and estate and her account has a message saying we hope you'll come back and we'll leave your account accessible so you can still view bills etc. Don't even get me started on no one answering my queries on final bill. Piss poor
@charliersmith1 I'm glad you still have a future. Tough times, I hope you can find some calm and light soon. In the meantime not calm in any way....Pickle
@Wise I will message you as the last time I called your customer service number to inform them of my mother's passing they told me to go to the website, press the help button and find the subject I needed as they couldn't put me through to anyone who could help with a bereavement.
@Wise I have emailed your bereavement service twice this week, 5 working days after the first email I haven't even had an acknowledgement. During a difficult time for our family I'd expect better service.
@AXS_UK I have tickets for Leeds that has been rescheduled and I can no longer attend. Why will no one tell me how to get a refund. You have changed the venue, without notification I can't go. Can someone help please it's ridiculous.
