What began as casual discussions and a small hobby project has now evolved into a full manuscript. We are excited to introduce you to "fastmixture", a much faster alternative to ADMIXTURE that doesn't compromise on accuracy in ancestry estimation.

We compare "fastmixture" to other recent alternatives and demonstrate through simulations that these alternatives sacrifice accuracy for faster runtimes.
Happy to introduce our new framework for window-based haplotype clustering, hapla! Here we utilize inferred haplotype clusters for heritability estimation and polygenic prediction but there should be plenty of future applications with this data structure! 👾
