I did a survey of their editorials in 2016 and found that in the previous 30 years the NYT editorial board had never opposed a US war, invasion, bombing or coup. I believe this remains true which means the last time they did so was the 1983 invasion of Grenada. So they did that.

Democrats could have run on a populist anti-war platform that has overwhelming public support in the US. They could have explicitly said that if elected, they would make sure not to launch a war on Iran. Instead they said the single greatest threat to the US is Iran, and repeated the same Zionist Trump propaganda to launch the war: "Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons".
