🚨🇱🇧 Since the April 17 “ceasefire,” Israeli forces have killed at least 1,232 people and wounded 3,189 others in Lebanon.

According to Cradle Media’s running tally, Israeli attacks on Thursday alone included:
▪️ 30 drone strikes
▪️ 43 airstrikes
▪️ 7 instances of artillery shelling

The overall toll since the war resumed on March 2 has now risen to more than 3,526 killed and 10,733 wounded.

🌍 Gaza War Generated 33.2 Million Tonnes of Carbon Emissions — More Than 102 Countries Emit in a Year

🔸A peer-reviewed study published in the journal One Earth by researchers at Queen Mary University of London and Lancaster University found that Israel’s war on Gaza has generated 33.2 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent — more than the annual emissions of 102 individual countries.

🔸A joint statement from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Environmental Quality Authority, released for World Environment Day via WAFA, warns that Gaza is facing an environmental catastrophe. It notes:

▪️ Carbon emissions:
Direct combat emissions — artillery, rockets, military hardware — exceeded 1.3 million tonnes. The bulk of emissions, however, come from anticipated reconstruction: rebuilding Gaza’s destroyed homes and infrastructure alone is projected to account for nearly 30 million tonnes, given that ~66% of Gaza’s buildings have been damaged or destroyed.

▪️ Infrastructure collapse:
More than 90% of Gaza’s wastewater infrastructure has been destroyed, price of water has risen seven-fold, while around 710,000 tonnes of household waste have accumulated across the Strip.

▪️ Rubble and housing:
More than 60 million tonnes of debris now cover Gaza following the destruction of over 330,000 housing units.

▪️ Agricultural devastation:
A recent UNOSAT assessment found that 86% of Gaza’s agricultural land had been damaged or destroyed by the end of June 2025, rising to 94% in northern Gaza.

▪️ West Bank:
The agencies also reported a rise in Israeli environmental violations in the occupied West Bank, with 685 incidents recorded in 2025, up from **535 in 2024

A U.S. Special Operations Command unit has been quietly operating an AI-generated propaganda website called La Tilde, pitched as a Latin American news brand but publishing Pentagon-friendly content — including praise for the U.S. abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro — according to an investigation by The Intercept.

The site carries a small disclosure acknowledging U.S. government funding but no bylines, masthead, or named staff. AI-detection tools flagged multiple articles as machine-generated. Planned country-specific versions target Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Peru, and others.

An Atlantic Council researcher who reviewed the site called it “AI all the way down.”

Israeli authorities have approved 2,162 new housing units across three settlements in the occupied West Bank, advancing major expansion plans, according to the Times of Israel.

◻️ Gvaot (southwest of Bethlehem): 1,006 new units approved.

◻️ Har Bracha (south of Nablus): 922 units advanced in an early planning stage that could eventually triple the settlement’s size.

◻️ Kiryat Arba (adjacent to Hebron): 234 units received final approval.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said the move would “strengthen our hold on the territory” and create “clear facts” that would prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

🔴An incredibly violent morning so far in Lebanon. Dozens of Israeli air and drone strikes so far have killed multiple people, including six Palestinian and Syrian laborers in a massacre in the Hosh neighborhood of Tyre, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

More than one million children in Gaza are surviving on roughly 6 liters of water per day — a fraction of the global norm of hundreds of liters — as infrastructure destruction and the blockade of supplies continues, according to Gaza Ministry of Health chief Dr Muneer Alboursh.

The shortage has cascading consequences: sewage is overflowing, garbage piling up, and rodents spreading through displacement centers, creating daily disease threats. Bathing has become a luxury. With summer temperatures rising, fears of epidemic outbreaks are growing.
