Corporators & Mayor of BJP-led @My_MBMC has decided not to allocate funds to repair the road. And State Govt. is not giving funds because road was handed over to the Corporation in February 2025.

UPSC ASPIRANT GIVES A CIVICS LESSON TO BJP 🔥
NAVEEN: Is this protest political now?
PREETI VERMA 🎯: If BJP thinks only opposition is coming, then BJP should also come. Nobody stopped them. We are waiting for Modi ji and BJP to answer.
NAVEEN: Why should opposition leaders come?
PREETI 🫡: Because our voice can go viral online, but accountability has to be demanded in Parliament too. That is the job of the opposition.
NAVEEN: Can people stay away from politics?
PREETI 🔥: You can close your eyes, but politics will not leave you. Your food, exam, job, road and future are all political.
SAMDISH SHOWS HOW POLICE BRUTALITY CRUSHED DISSENT 🚨
Students came to Jantar Mantar asking questions on education, paper leaks and accountability. What followed was pure police brutality.
A woman was beaten by male officers. Students were pushed, chased and hit. Samdish himself took lathis while recording what was happening.
Even after being hit, he kept saying: this is not about media privilege. No citizen should be beaten like this in their own city.
This was the state crushing dissent in full public view.
Jantar Mantar became the place where students asked for dialogue and power answered with lathis.

Feb 14, 1990: Voyager 1 spacecraft takes this stunning photograph of the Earth suspended in the sunbeam. Carl Sagan's brilliant monologue as mentioned in his 1994 book, Pale Blue Dot:
'From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.'

Last night was a nightmare for Indians both in India and abroad. According to the media, all Indian airports were closed, causing widespread panic. Some people queued up at petrol stations to fill up, others withdrew cash from ATMs, and many began stocking up on essentials.
People woke up today to find that, for the most part, it was a normal night across the country except few cities under drone attack and firing. Our Army was doing their job diligently. So what triggered all this panic?
Over the last decade, India's news media has been systematically dismantled by the BJP and its cronies.
Ground reporting in India comes with real costs; hiring reporters, sending camera crews to the field, arranging travel, equipment, and safety; all of which can easily run into lakhs of rupees per story. In contrast, many so-called "news" channels today avoid these expenses altogether. Instead, they run studio-based debates and scripted narratives aligned with the political interests of Narendra Modi and the BJP. This low-cost, high-volume model has fuelled a fake news epidemic, where shouting matches replace journalism, and ground truth is sacrificed for TRPs and propaganda.
For these channels, the news is supplied by a single source: Hiren Joshi.
So who is Hiren Joshi?
Hiren Joshi is a close associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has been linked with the BJP since Modi's tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister. Originally an electronics engineer and academic, Joshi transitioned into politics by managing Modi’s digital and media strategies from 2008 onward. Within the BJP, he played a key role in shaping the party’s online outreach and communication campaigns, particularly during elections. As Media Adviser in the PMO, he continues to oversee Modi’s digital presence and multilingual communications, making him a crucial figure in the BJP’s media ecosystem.
Hiren Joshi and his team now control much of India's mainstream media.
Independent media typically survives on government and private advertisements, or through subscriptions. The government and its allies ensure that independent outlets are starved of funding by blocking government ads and pressuring private companies to withhold theirs. This forces many media owners to either toe the government line or sell out to conglomerates like Adani or Ambani, often after being targeted with false cases and harassment. Take NDTV's Pranoy Roy's false case which forced them to sell to Adani. Now the case is closed for the lack of evidence.
As the credibility of mainstream media deteriorates, a growing number of independent journalists, activists, and content creators have stepped in to fill the void. This has become a serious threat to the BJP. Seizing the opportunity created by the current war-related panic, the government has not only banned Pakistani handles but also used the "opportunity in crisis" to target Indian journalists who consistently question the Modi government. For example, @ppbajpai's YouTube channel was banned just days ago.
Punya Prasun Bajpai is a veteran journalist who has worked with leading news outlets like Aaj Tak, Zee News, and ABP News. He is the only journalist to have received the Ramnath Goenka Award in both TV and print categories, in 2006 and 2008. Bajpai is also the author of six books.
In 2018, he was forced to resign from ABP News after his show 'Masterstroke' criticized Prime Minister Modi. The program revealed that women praising the Prime Minister on air had actually been coached. Following this, his show experienced strange disruptions, advertisers pulled out, and he was instructed not to mention Modi on air. Feeling censored and pressured, he was forced to resign, raising serious concerns about press freedom and the silencing of independent journalism.
What happened yesterday may have been triggered by Hiren Joshi's phone running out of battery, or him switching it off. Without inputs from their only source, these channels lost their script and descended into chaos, like drug addicts suffering withdrawal. They aired completely imagined stories, using visuals from video games and other fabricated content.
But the real damage they’re doing to the country is immeasurable. They are systematically destroying India’s credibility in the global stage. By projecting India as a volatile, unsafe place, they are undermining investor confidence and making it an undesirable destination for both business and tourism. The damage can’t be undone by counter-propaganda, because day by day, the Indian public is witnessing that what appears in the media is largely bunkum. Economic data has already been exposed as doctored. Now, with national security being used as propaganda fodder, we’re distorting our image both domestically and internationally beyond repair.
Foreign tourists will hesitate to visit a country portrayed as a warzone.
Foreign businesses will be reluctant to invest in such a climate.
Dear readers,
This is the time to act, and to be decisive.
Support media which you think are independent and questions the Govt. Demand that the government unblock legitimate Indian channels that question those in power. This is the only way to win the war against disinformation and fake news! And if you don't, this monster is going to consume us and there won't be any opportunity to left to course correct. Jai Hind!
Hey @lumix_india I want to move to M43 but can't seem to find any information on after sales support in Mumbai. That's the only thing that is stopping me from jumping ship from Canon.
Great news for 'doctors' including oncologists and hepatologists.
The Government of India is preparing to start a new medical educational course.
Doctorate of Medicine or DM (equivalent of advanced fellowship) in the field of Ayurveda.
This degree will be offered for Ayurveda practitioners after their specialization (MD training) - they can choose advanced specialization in oncology (cancer management), hepatology (caring for advanced and complex liver disease), geriatrics (specialized care for the elderly), psychiatry (management of mental health disorders) and orthopedics (complex diseases of bones and joints).
But Ayurveda practitioners themselves say that this is a bad move. Why?
Because there is nothing to specialize in Ayurveda. The whole of Ayurveda is based on texts written 2000 years ago that has not changed at all.
For examples:
- for cancer, they teach application of honey over the tumor where flies come and lay eggs and maggots will eat the tumor from within.
- for alcohol-related disorders, the treatment was to spend time with sexy voluptous women and drinking light wine, while leeches will suck out bad blood from your system.
- for manic-depressive disorder, the patient was placed inside an isolated well and then beaten with sticks made from feathers of birds and forced to inhale smoke from burned snake skin.
- for foreign body in bone, the treatment was to tie a horse or donkey to the foreign body and make the animal pull it out.
- for elderly patients, to become healthier and well, they were advised to have sex with younger women.
[These are all mentioned in the classical Ayurveda texts - Caraka Samhita, Ashtanga Hrydaya, Susruta Samhita - you can read about it, some versions are free online]
I have never seen a more insecure group of people than Ayurveda policy makers and Ayurveda practitioners. Instead of improving science-based educational infrastructure and catering to primary care and improving specialists care by and large, they meddle in these absolutely wasteful activities that destroy the nations scientific temper, medical care quality and global-stage credibility.
This government may be excellent at winning elections and especially hearts of brainless people, but they are the worst that has happened to this country since the British.

A good way to start the day? A healthy breakfast.
No doubt. But Herbalife has no role in it.
Herbalife is a multilevel marketing pyramid scheme company which manufactures low quality mixed protein made from pea and soy and includes other dangerous botanicals, all the while charging consumers like they're selling Swarovski diamonds.
There are far more, better protein supplements in the market that consumers can spend money on, definitely not Herbalife...
Because Herbalife products are also, infamously associated with the highest documented liver injury and liver failure cases in the world among all protein supplements. No other BS company has even come close to what Herbalife products have achieved when it comes to harming consumers.
Ronaldo may or may not know this, but his breakfast definitely DOES NOT involve Herbalife products and this is just a paid (I wonder how much!) promotion for the company...
Because even the people you place high on a high pedestal are sometimes deprived of ethics and morality when it comes to healthcare and health literacy when money talks.

@ola_supports Happened more than once now that payment via gpay and card either completely fails or even if it goes through after the ride ends the payment has to be paid by cash. The drivers insist the payment will be reversed.
@Olacabs is forcing customers to pay using only olamoney or olapostpaid and also charging 1% extra. If one wants to use UPI/card, then the payment fails. Or worse, money gets debited but the transaction doesn't reflect in the Ola app. @bhash Stop harassing customers and be fair.
Yesterday PM Modi laid the foundation stone for India’s largest deep water port: the Vadhavan Port Project, but the ceremony was not held in Vadhavan, where the port is actually proposed. It was held in Palghar, around 30 km away from Vadhavan.
