Inside a high school in Bandung #Indonesia, @projecthopeorg's HERWay program is educating teenagers on topics like mental health, puberty, menstrual health, sexual education, & life skills, ultimately helping students plan for a healthier future. I love to see their smiles.
Encouraging to see that individuals who develop #Ebola may have access to #MBP134. But an important question remains: will people affected by Ebola in Africa have the same access?
MBP134 is a cocktail of two human monoclonal antibodies originally isolated from the blood of an Ebola survivor from the 2013–2016 West Africa.
The communities that have borne the greatest burden of Ebola outbreaks have also contributed to the scientific advances that made therapies like MBP134 possible. Equity in access must be part of the conversation.
Great piece in @Resolve_GH from @projecthopeorg's Katie Mergen on multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS) as a low-cost, evidence-based way to improve maternal and newborn health globally https://t.co/mESVXaiuBI
1B girls and women are undernourished globally, increasing risks during pregnancy. In many LMICs, pregnant women receive little to no supplementation. Katherine Mergen makes the case for investing in MMS to improve maternal and newborn health. Read🔗https://t.co/wXmXCDqMJM
Rarely do we get good news when it comes to #Ebola but seeing a health worker survive & go back to work on the front lines is something to celebrate. Health workers are heroes.
Ebola survivor Baraka Bulambula returned to work at a hospital in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, offering a rare glimmer of hope as the country battles a growing outbreak of the deadly virus https://t.co/CjaMc2M5zh
#Ebola is never just a virus. It is a test of preparedness, community trust, frontline health systems, WASH & IPC capacity, operational readiness, & the world’s willingness to act before it spirals out of control. My thoughts here for @projecthopeorg: https://t.co/3Rby3cHhag
June 1 marks the start of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. If you live in a high-risk zone, it's time to prioritize early emergency preparedness; it's the best way to stay safe if a storm arrives.

Amidst Eid al-Adha & a "ceasefire" in #Lebanon, airstrike continue, towns are being leveled, & families are being forcibly displaced. In the past week, 15 children have been killed. Civilians are not targets. https://t.co/enwZybTWJ5
As the #Ebola outbreak continues, @projecthopeorg has deployed a team to Uganda & is working with local partners in both #DRC & #Uganda to ready PPE & IPC supplies & trainings & support for frontline health workers. Read our latest situation report: https://t.co/S6qZKvwTbs
For people with chronic illnesses in #Gaza, once manageable health conditions are now life-threatening due to a shortage of medicines, food, clean water, and safe shelter. https://t.co/cSxwW2208E
#ICYMI today, the head of WHO said he is “deeply concerned about the scale and speed” of the #Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda.
The virus spread undetected for weeks; a stark reminder of why strengthening health systems before an outbreak hits is critical.
The @WHO World Health Statistics Report is out today. Unfortunately, progress in reducing deaths from NCDs has stalled & childhood vaccination rates are falling short. On the plus side, though, new HIV infections fell by 40% from 2010-2024. Worth a read. https://t.co/3EzSqi1Jf2
The World Health Statistics 2026 show that global health gains are real but under serious threat.
Without swift action and stronger health systems, the global health targets for 2030 will be missed.
What happens in the next few years determines if global progress is sustained.

Building on 30 years of work in the #DominicanRepublic, @Projecthopeorg’s Saving the Newborn Initiative is expanding, equipping healthcare workers with the tools and trainings they need to keep reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates in the DR.

Given the lack of health care access across #Gaza, some @projecthopeorg health clinics are operating at 700% capacity. Families are walking long distances to reach us in need of medicine. Our teams are prescribing individual pills/tablets to cover as many patients as possible.
I wrote about my recent trip to my home country of #Lebanon for @projecthopeorg. Across all communities, 1 message was consistent: support must reach everyone, both displaced & host communities. When it doesn’t, tensions rise. & tensions are already high https://t.co/oOvILy43nx
Today is International Day of the Midwife. In communities around the world, midwives are the ones we trust to bring new life into this world day in & day out. @projecthopeorg is proud to support, train, & equip midwives in Indonesia, Ghana, Colombia, Gaza, & more. #IDM2026
Last week, @PierreCrom visited some @projecthopeorg-supported physical rehabilitation programs for wounded veterans in #Ukraine. The photos for @GettyImages are deeply moving: https://t.co/v0WlnifGvA
#Gaza's health sector has been decimated over the past 2.5 years. 94% of hospitals were damaged & 14% of the health workforce was lost, setting back decades of progress. The costs to rebuild the health sector could exceed $10B, but funding can't wait. https://t.co/C8nSAGEoP3
The 2026 Global Report on Food Crises report warns famine could be returning to #Gaza. @projecthopeorg is still treating malnutrition in its health clinics & spoke with @AJEnglish about the food & nutrition shortages: https://t.co/r2jvsWXIxX
Really appreciate the opportunity to chat with @sanjanakaranth at @huffpost about my recent trip to #Lebanon and the desperate situation facing the more than 1 million displaced across the country & how @projecthopeorg is helping
Israel's bombing has killed thousands, displaced more than a million and rendered health care barely accessible for Lebanon's women and children. https://t.co/JAMYESBaGO
Last week I visited a @projecthopeorg mobile medical unit in Beirut that is supporting people sheltering in an abandoned hospital. It was in a terrible shape. 22 people were living together in one of the small rooms. This is the reality for many of the displaced in #Lebanon
