@AllForProgress_@JohnCleese I really don't get the point here. If he was qualified and competent to judge on the cases from a home in England what would change with him being in Spain?
I can see that the practice might raise questions, but it's far from obvious that moral outrage is justified.
You're right - rational debate is the answer. Your video raises mixed claims. The good ones challenge the alarmism which seems to have arisen as a response to apathy and indifference. The world was never going to end in 12 years, but might there have been an opportunity within the last 12 years to change to a better trajectory for the future?
And to say that you only have to look around and see that the world has not ended is to miss that while it is fine for those of us who are still here, it's too late for those who are not. It is a so far so good philosophy. But many people have already died or had their lives ruined by rapid climate change. As you acknowledge, post industrial warming has already produced over one degree of increased global average temperature. A minimal estimate puts that as resulting in about one million deaths. These are people that were not saved by actions we took as a civilization.
The debate about what actions could, or indeed, can be taken is a good one, that needs to take into account second order effects.
But to claim it's all a scam is simply to stay in the polarisation game.
This is my Tesla Model Y in the UK.
It already has all the hardware and software needed to drive itself under my supervision - making it dramatically safer than any regular car on our roads.
Yet @transportgovuk, @Heidi_Alexander and the Vehicle Certification Agency have still not approved it for use here.
Itโs like having seatbelts fitted in the carโฆ but the government wonโt let you use them.
This technology is already working safely in other countries around the world. Why are UK drivers and other road users being held back from a safer future?
Enough with the delays already - follow the @RDWnl lead and get this approved.

@GregBaldwinIroh Endless variations, but keep it simple and classic to start. Plenty of butter melted in the hot toast before pouring over the beans. Ratio matters, one tin will do four good sized slices of toast. Don't overload and be sure at least one or two corners remain clear.
