Bhat Vahi Talauda Pargana Jind records that on Jeth Sudi 11, 1732 Bikrami (25 May 1675 CE), a deputation of (typically cited as 16) Kashmiri Pandits, led by Pandit Kirpa Ram Dutt (of Mattan, Kashmir; Bhardwaj gotra, Saraswat Brahmin), arrived at Chak Nanaki (Anandpur) in Pargana Kehlur. They sought the Guru’s help against Mughal oppression and forced conversions.

The original Bhat Vahis (including Bhat Vahi Talauda Pargana Jind) are physical handwritten scrolls (in Bhattakhri script) preserved in the Department of Punjab Historical Studies at Punjabi University, Patiala.

You can access them for in-person research after obtaining permission from the university archives.

🚨India continues to demonstrate glaring double standards when it comes to protecting its religious minorities.

A Hindu mob reportedly initiated the violence by attacking Sikh pilgrims in Uttarakhand. When the pilgrims defended themselves, the mob regrouped in large numbers and targeted just four Sikhs. The attackers then pelted them with stones and brutally assaulted them, leaving one Sikh youth with serious injuries including a broken foot and multiple other wounds.

Disturbingly, Indian police have charged the Sikh victims with attacking the mob, while No action has been taken against any members of the Hindu mob.
