From coming back with a few holiday snaps with a 3 megapixel compact digital to this, my first delivery to a National Trust Gift shop. Proud? Yes. But I've also enjoyed every moment, even the long, mind numbingly boring, freezing with no show ones....
Wonderful surprise to see juvenile white tailed eagle at @ElmleyNNR this afternoon. Being given a very hard time by the marsh harriers that did not appreciate it so close to their roost.
Before a murmuration Starlings often perch up together. The first few seconds speeds up 7 minutes of the birds arriving, and then they fly off in real time. Note how the branches droop and then spring up when the birds fly. Higher quality video here: https://t.co/lLatOzgdgV
@James__Shooter Ham Wall. Also go early am, before 1st light 2 see their take off. The silence 2 cacophony is amazing, then sudden pockets of silence, followed by roar of jet engine as a group of 15000 wing beats explode into the air. Then another group, and another until 200,000 have gone..
@dEEN1cKers0n 50+ Fieldfare, 100+ redwing (but I suspect more). I'm in Upchurch, Kent. Never had close encounters with Fieldfare before, so lovely to see them....
My village is currently surrounded by hundreds of Redding, and these wonderful brash thrushes....Fieldfare. My first time seeing flocks of them... #fieldfare#rspb
