Rye

Millions of Products. One API.

[Rye @rye]

Today, we’re excited to share that Rye is joining Jolly.

We started Rye almost five years ago with a simple idea: commerce on the internet should be programmable. Developers should be able to connect their users to products from anywhere and build purchasing directly into whatever experience they were creating.

Since then, Rye has powered millions of commerce transactions across marketplaces, rewards programs, gifting platforms, AI applications, and entirely new shopping experiences.

Over the past year, we’ve seen agentic commerce move from an idea into something increasingly real. Some of the most exciting applications are the ones where this technology touches real-world behavior: people earning rewards, redeeming benefits, receiving incentives, and purchasing things they actually want.

That’s also where we’ve spent more and more of our time, and it’s a big reason why we’re so excited to be joining Jolly.

We’ve worked closely with Dean and the Jolly team and have been incredibly impressed by the company they’re building, their growth, and the way they think about the connection between incentives and commerce.

As part of this next chapter, members of the Rye team will be joining Jolly and the technology we’ve spent years building will become part of a much larger platform.

To everyone who built with us, worked with us, invested in us, and believed in what we were building: thank you.
We’re incredibly excited for this next leg and for what Rye + Jolly can build together.

More from Jolly

[Jolly @jollypoints]

We're excited to welcome @Rye to Jolly.

Rye has built one of the most capable agentic commerce networks in the market, enabling AI agents to shop and check out across millions of products online.

Together, we're building a better way for frontline workers to earn, use, and get more value from the rewards they receive, while helping employers drive measurable business outcomes.

A major step forward for Jolly and the future of workplace incentives.

Rye is now an approved agent in Stripe's Agentic Commerce Suite.

A merchant on the Suite connects to Rye, and its catalog becomes transactable across every app built on Rye's APIs — no new integration for developers, no agent for the merchant to build.

Discovery stays with the app. Rye completes the order.

Trust is the gate for agentic commerce — and one of the biggest blockers sits after the purchase: if an agent buys for me, can I send it back, and will the refund come?

Today, that's programmatic. Introducing the Returns API.

A return is one call. Rye files it with the merchant, hands the shopper a prepaid label when one's needed, and tracks the refund through to settlement. Poll one endpoint for a typed status, a timeline, and the exact refund total.

No merchant integration. No label generation. No reconciliation.

Shopify + whole-order returns first. Partial returns, webhooks, and more platforms next.

Introducing Chat tab: Make purchases immediately by talking to an AI agent in Allowance Chat.

You can always still connect via CLI or MCP if you want to connect @useallowance to Codex, OpenClaw or your favorite desktop agent.

Skip the fric, use Allowance.

[Sophia @sophiabits_]

never been easier to ship a credit card rewards or corporate gifting platform

[Rye @rye]

Every rewards program is now a commerce product.

Today we're shipping Rye for Rewards — a source-available React component library that keeps the entire redemption flow inside the rewards app. Catalog, PDP, payment, points slider, order tracking. Themed by the partner, installed in days.

One API. 1M+ products across thousands of merchants.

One of the first real AI-native use cases I can actually confirm now is Agentic Payments.

AI agents are now paying for APIs, compute, inference, MCP servers, datasets, wallets, even coordinating with other agents without humans in the loop.

x402 has already processed ~165M agent txs and ~$50M in flow since launch.

Still tiny compared to global payments, but @coinbase keeps pushing to turn USDC + Base into the default money layer for machines.

HTTP itself becoming a payment rail sounds kinda insane when you think about it. Agents can now:

request endpoint → receive 402 payment request → send USDC → access resource instantly

I know the narrative is getting big since Google, Stripe, AWS, Visa, and Mastercard are entering from their own lanes.

> @Google launched AP2 with Coinbase and the @ethereumfndn to standardize agent payments across crypto + banking rails.

> @googlecloud partnered with @solana to launch https://t.co/O6RPpfG7VM where AI agents can pay for cloud infrastructure per-call using stablecoins.

> @stripe launched MPP where agents open payment sessions first, then batch settle later through @tempo.

> @Visa and @Mastercard already joined the x402 Foundation.

> @awscloud entered through AgentCore + @privy_io wallet infra.

> @Cloudflare leaning hard into agent hosting + x402 infra, positioning itself as middleware for AI-to-AI commerce.

The race just started. Some projects building underneath this stack worth tracking:

- @virtuals_io pushing onchain agent identity + commerce rails through ERC-8004 and ERC-8183.

- @HeyElsaAI pushing x402 rails + agent reputation + execution proofs.

- @HallidayHQ focused on guardrails, permissions, and autonomous wallet safety.

- @rye building checkout execution rails on top of https://t.co/O6RPpfG7VM so agents can actually complete real purchases across 15k+ merchants end-to-end.

- @RyvoNetwork building autonomous payment + identity rails for AI agents with wallet orchestration, delegated execution, and machine-to-machine coordination

Understanding this flow could bring massive edge in the agentic era imo.

Every agent purchase is an attribution question.

Who gets paid when the agent closes?

$13B affiliate industry runs on signals agents don't generate: cookies, clicks, last-touch.

The tracking signal goes dark right when the order goes through.

@echulshin 🔥

[kevin @kleffew94]

Another cool demo here from Echul.

snap a picture of a product, have an agent research it via @ExaAILabs, then complete the purchase end-to-end using @rye.

[Jakub Hojsan @JakubHojsan]

what a unique use of @ExaAILabs and @rye ! super cool

[echul @echulshin]

I usually sneak into nice offices in nyc and order everything in their fridge using AI

Merchants are scoping how to participate in agentic commerce. We covered two of the available paths: native UCP implementation, or integration via Rye.

Native UCP on the merchant side: 12 build steps spanning discovery, signing, schema authorship, capability implementations, OAuth, and operational discipline.

Integrating via Rye: 2 onboarding paths. Commercial agreement + Rye Agent allowlist for non-Shopify. Sales Channel install for Shopify. Both support merchant-controlled developer gating.

Each path has real tradeoffs. We scoped both — capability by capability.

[Solana Foundation @SolanaFndn]

Introducing https://t.co/ivhQ4gEA5p, in collaboration with @googlecloud

For the first time agents can discover, access, and pay-per-request for APIs from Google Cloud including Gemini, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and more using stablecoins on Solana.

No accounts, no subscriptions, just machine-native commerce.

[Solana Foundation @SolanaFndn]

If you have a data repository in Google Cloud, https://t.co/ivhQ4gEA5p lets you expose your own private datasets to AI agents via the x402 protocol, with the facilitator handling payment so your data stays secure.

For Enterprises https://t.co/ivhQ4gEA5p turns private Google Cloud dataset, like BigQuery or Cloud Run apps, into agent-payable APIs using stablecoins on Solana.

[Rye @rye]

Today the @SolanaFndn is launching https://t.co/s3KG7yMaqr — AI agents can discover, access, and pay for any API on the internet. Per request. Settled in Solana stablecoins.

Rye is a launch partner.

https://t.co/s3KG7yMaqr handles discovery, identity, and billing. Rye handles checkout execution. Agents find the Universal Checkout API, pay for the call, and complete a real purchase across 15,000+ merchants — end-to-end in one workflow.
