In times to come when we're all gone, people not yet born will walk in the sunshine of their own days because of what women and men did at this hour. -Jim Dwyer
Letting Americans take out loans to afford healthcare forces Americans deeper into debt and drives up profits for the health insurance industry.
Abolish the health insurance industry.
Demand Medicare for All.
Spencer Pratt "did worse than Donald Trump did in L.A. in 2024, and worse than Trump did in 2020. And he did considerably worse than Rick Caruso, a Republican turned independent turned Democrat, did in 2022's mayoral primary." https://t.co/qS6lXUutqC
Elon Musk sees a future where AI replaces HALF of all jobs.
If he’s right, our country’s wealth could get sucked up by a handful of billionaires while workers get left behind.
We need to tax AI so Americans share in its growth—and Big Tech pays for the disruption it causes.
Being an American isn't about your ancestry or ethnicity.
It's about fidelity to the meaning of this country - its revolutionary, threefold promise of political equality, economic opportunity, and personal liberty.
In Canada, a person can receive up to 5 years in prison for producing and distributing non-consensual sexual imagery.

Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500.
If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.
Uber is now taking over 50% of what you pay in many cities, leaving less than half for drivers.
New research from @lenshermanCBS shows that in multiple cases Uber's "take rate" has increased from 15%-20% of what a rider pays early on in the company's existance, to more than 50% this year.

The Trump administration is quietly moving to change the Affordable Care Act to let health insurers offer people loans to pay for their care.
Deep in a document over 1,000 pages long about how the Affordable Care Act market will operate next year, the administration suggests that insurers consider offering loans to cash-strapped customers.
Under this approach, people who develop a costly disease or need unexpected emergency care would turn to their health insurer for loans.
A third of American households already have medical debt, and this approach would mean even more debt that patients owe to their health insurance companies.
The insurers, who already make billions, would stand to make even more.

Q: "Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning?"
Trump: "No, I love it. The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation." He then talks about taking Iran's oil.
Inflation just hit its highest level in 3 years.

Uber sent out emails to customers falsely claiming a NY bill would "ban most coupons and promotions" (they don't).
They want to make sure any regulation is killed, or toothless.
Ken Paxton's impeachment defense lawyer just endorsed James Talarico.
Dan Cogdell says his former client "has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas."
"And unlike Ken, I believe to my core that James Talarico believes in unity over division and that he knows how to assemble not only Democrats, but Independents and Republicans, and we need that right now." https://t.co/tPzHge8lD8

This is the first time inflation has outpaced wages since April 2023.
