14 miles of picket lines. Worked at the Strand in the early 90s when I was a student at Hunter College. Got myself into trouble recommending some of my coworkers register for classes one semester.
After months of stalled negotiations, @UAW Local 2179 members at the Strand Bookstore walked off the job yesterday, the first strike at the Manhattan book shop since the 1990s.
Join the picket from 10 AM to 7 PM to help our members win a fair contract! https://t.co/cLN69qOb3S
@billhd Further, by obscuring tech’s human origins it iCloud’s power, making it difficult to unravel the dynamics that make people feel subjected to technology rather than recognizing oppression as plain old humans-subjugating-other-humans rather than, say, lizard people from space.

@MikeRTrice@NateSilver538 Makes me sad. Enjoyed 538 and Signal & Noise. Want to retroactively remove citations to his work. Y'know, the opposite of what happened/ is happening to Sander.
@MariePruitt_CR Revise & resubmit is a GOOD response to a first journal submission. Work the revision. Talk with reviewers. Understand why/what they're saying.
(Such a generous reading & offered such good advice--THEY believed in the core ideas & wanted to see it published.)
