🚨 Barella, Sučić, Çalhanoğlu, Stanković, Zieliński, Mkhitaryan and Jones. That’s the seven-man midfield Chivu would ideally like to have.
He wants a midfield made up of seven players, and in terms of potential signings, the player he wants more than anyone else is Curtis Jones even though midfield isn’t the area of the squad most in need of reinforcement.

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Barcelona have submitted an official £40 million bid to Tottenham Hotspur for Cristian “Cuti” Romero. The defender has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Barcelona and is eager to join Hansi Flick’s project. 🔵🔴
Deco played a key role in the negotiations, reportedly spending time with Romero during the FIFA World Cup in the United States to present Barcelona’s long-term sporting project and the club’s plans for next season.
It is also claimed that Julián Álvarez advised Romero against joining Atlético Madrid amid his own transfer dispute with the club, telling him that Barcelona is the best long-term destination and the biggest club in the world. 🇦🇷
🚨👀 Manchester City view Ayyoub Bouaddi as a player who will need to develop in attacking areas, but they are convinced of his qualities as a deep-lying, combative midfielder who is comfortable on the ball.
This is exactly the profile the club believe is required in an increasingly physical Premier League, which also explains their move for Elliot Anderson.

🚨🇪🇸 Along with Rodrigo Mendoza, Arnau Ortiz is another player who has been impressing during pre-season.
Both stood out in yesterday’s training session.
The key question is whether Ortiz, who has caught Gabi's eyes, can eventually earn a place in the first team, as he appears to have outgrown the Primera RFEF.
Clubs such as Espanyol are monitoring his situation closely.
“Good, Arnau, good! That’s it!” Gabi shouted to him several times as Ortiz showcased his sharp dribbling, explosive acceleration, and natural instinct for scoring goals.

Estupiñán set to give Villa a new dimension after £15m deal agreed
Aston Villa are set to complete the signing of Pervis Estupiñán after agreeing a deal worth £15 million, rising to £20 million through appearance and competition-related bonuses, with personal terms already in place.
The Ecuador international will replace Lucas Digne, who is poised to return to Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth around £9 million.
For Unai Emery, this is far more than a straightforward replacement.
Estupiñán knows exactly what his manager expects, having excelled under Emery at Villarreal. That familiarity should allow him to slot seamlessly into Villa's demanding tactical system, one built on aggressive pressing, positional discipline and relentless attacking width.
Where Digne brought experience, intelligence and outstanding delivery from deep, Estupiñán offers something different. His explosive pace and ability to carry the ball through pressure immediately give Villa another route up the pitch. Rather than relying solely on midfield switches of play, Villa gain a full-back capable of breaking lines himself before releasing teammates into dangerous areas.
His recovery speed is equally important. Emery asks his full-backs to play high, compress the pitch and recover quickly when possession is lost. Few left-backs in Europe cover ground as effectively as Estupiñán, allowing Villa to remain aggressive without sacrificing defensive security.
The signing also gives Emery genuine tactical flexibility. Ian Maatsen and Estupiñán are not competing to be the same player—they offer different solutions. Maatsen thrives through intricate combinations and inverted movements, while Estupiñán stretches teams with direct running, overlapping quality and relentless athleticism. Opponents can now dictate which profile Emery selects, rather than forcing Villa into one style.
Financially, the move reflects Villa's smart recruitment strategy. Replacing a 33-year-old Digne with a proven international still in his prime for an initial £15 million, with the fee only rising to £20 million if appearance and competition bonuses are achieved, represents excellent value in today's market.
Villa are not simply replacing Lucas Digne.
They are adding pace, power and verticality to one of the Premier League's most tactically sophisticated squads—and reuniting Unai Emery with a player who already knows exactly how to bring his football to life.

🚨 Liverpool have Paris Saint-Germain defender Illia Zabarnyi on their radar.
Richard Hughes and Andoni Iraola both know the centre-back from their time at Bournemouth.
A move could develop if PSG become willing to let Zabarnyi leave.
