@SebAaltonen linux on arm is maturing because of the snapdragon SoCs that have been proliferating over the last two years. so support for these will definitely not be starting from zero
@jarredsumner@ThePrimeagen can you speak as to why? we use them to avoid these types of bugs in games programming and I don't really consider those cases trivial
@jarredsumner@ThePrimeagen genuine but probably dumb question! I believe all the use-after-free bugs and possibly the leaks can be categorically solved with relatively simple arena-style allocators, even considering a GC is involved. Is there a reason Bun couldn't take this approach?
@TheGingerBill@valigo imo they're always somewhat of a bandaid yeah. If you Need them the params should be a struct or you should split into separate procedures. They're a decent stopgap but they basically never get fixed
I don't post WIP content from Faded very often as there're many unfinished/unpolished parts, but as I already mentioned the crowd sim... here is its test scene. About 800 characters, 56 bones each, animation is 3.5 minutes (!) with random offset, LOD0 is at ~20k verts
