Headed back home after an amazing last day with @insideeducation We toured the Alberta Newsprint company and went to the Forest interpretative centre.

We were honoured to have a warm welcome & prayer from Elder Heather Poitras – Elder in Residence at @NRCan's Northern Forestry Centre – before touring our way through the facility's Fire Behaviour Research Lab, the Forest Pathology Lab & the Dendroecology Lab! 🔥🐛🧑‍🔬

Day 2 of our Careers in Forestry #InsidePD is off to a stellar start!

We made our way from #yeg to #Whitecourt this morning to check out the local Fire Centre & now we're trekking through the forest with Stephane Briand from @westfraserEWP to see a tree thinning site in action!
