Overnight: 13 calls were received by our Control staff to a small fire at a supermarket on Croydon Rd #Penge. Crews from West Norwood attended and quickly dealt with the incident. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Using the evidence based suggestion of 5ml/kg tidal volume, the average 70kg adult would require a ventilation squeeze of 350ml.

The key to Laryngoscopy is finding the Epiglottis. When the airway is bloody it will often “camouflage”, making it tougher to find. This makes it even more important to always be methodical:
1. Advance incrementally
2. Identify the Epiglottis
3. Expose the Larynx

BREAKING: A major incident is currently happening on Canvey Island, Essex, after a car ran over six pedestrians.
At least five of the injured are in a serious way. All have been taken to hospital by air and road ambulances.

These two Firefighter/Paramedics have over 75 years of experience between them, pictured yesterday taking part in their last on-station drill. Both retire next week. Dave and Jimmy are based on D Watch in Dun Loaghaire fire station. Dave is the most senior Firefighter in DFB.
