@josephkazUK I actually don't mind the proposal they put forward, but struggle with the AI version - feels like a pastiche. I guess it's the definition of subjectivity
This is just sickeningly insensitive.
Not an ounce of decency, compassion or respect for the 72 lives lost and wider community.
But this isn’t a slip-up or a stumble. This is Reform showing us exactly who they are.
@PGSMurray@CLondoner92@Ofcom@virginmedia@X Not to be a cynic, but funny how quickly they respond when an audience of 11k followers hearing about their poor performance!
I have learned a lot about why our Western democracies cannot get anything done through this vignette of the approval process for a building in Hackney Council (I RT yesterday the entire debate thread). The rules and regulations are piled on in absurd ways, so that those with personal agendas (the Council Chair here) can use lots of procedural tricks to derail the whole thing. As @mattyglesias says the "groups" hijack the process to the detriment of the citizens. It is hard to imagine any actual citizen of the ward caring about the arcane objections being raised.
If the Labour government @Keir_Starmer really wants to get the UK unstuck, they will have to tackle these insane rules and processes, even if some local member parties get upset. (A similar thing is true at the European Union).
Having experienced the issues that come with an absent freeholder (no maintenance and no buildings insurance to our knowledge) they then had the gaul to demand £25k to extend our lease so we could sell.
This is fantastic news. More like this please 🙌
