@SamBroner@bettermoney_co@AdamZuck13 I recall the first time hearing you say "singularity of money" in the context of stablecoins on a podcast. That stuck. Best of luck on the new journey!
ClearSpace has developed a spacecraft designed to clean Earth’s orbit by capturing and removing defunct satellites using robotic arms.
Working with the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency, it plans to safely deorbit old satellites so they burn up in the atmosphere.
This mission aims to reduce dangerous space debris and make space operations safer for active satellites.
Prior to 2026 the UK had never minted a Unicorn in Defence.
It has now minted two in two months.
One of them hasn't even announced it publicly.
The first is UK-Ukrainian UFORCE, which develops autonomous systems across air, sea and land, and has supported more than 150,000 missions during the war in Ukraine.
It has just raised a $50m seed at a $1bn+ valuation.
The second is @roark_aerospace. The company intentionally keeps an incredibly low profile and chose not to announce its recent $210m Series B.
It did $197m of revenue last year and is on track to do $400m this year.
It is great to see the UK finally waking up to the need to build and back defence companies.
My information consumption is now 1/4 X, 1/4 podcast interviews of the smartest practitioners, 1/4 talking to the leading AI models, and 1/4 reading old books. The opportunity cost of anything else is far too high, and rising daily.
"The Complaint alleges that Jane Street acted having known in advance about the vulnerability, though any Economics 101 class would have provided the same insight."
Well played, @FT

@samrags_ I agree with your take. Hard to imagine a 10x improvement solely from using on-chain rails for consumer payments.
Also unclear how fee structures around stablecoins for consumer payments will evolve (to fund chargebacks, etc.)
@AndySmith212@BitcoinMagazine Because there are more than 10. Any merchant using a Square POS system can just enable BTC payments (and does not even need to hold the BTC; it just uses it for settlement).
@davidandpassion@USDC@base@baseapp Pretty cool to see in prod but the UX seems a bit clunky... Going from a single tap with a card to 5+ confirmations can be a tough sell
