@leahbackhusmd I will never forget walking into the VA and seeing a patient in the smoking area with a cigarette and smoke was in the pleurovac chamber.
@aribindi Respectfully disagree, visiting a place that you’re going to live for 5-7+ years and seeing the surroundings, safety, and what the winters were like significantly affected my preference.
can we talk about why 2 colleges no one has ever heard of or cares about has gone 20 mins over playing the last 19 seconds of basketball when the NCAA volleyball elite 8 to final four game is on? #newrulesplease
@frolics26@Dr_Done_ Excellent! This is what I just posted, lol. I hope and it seems there is a huge difference between US and UK in this regard. Thank you. The initial statement was about offensive but now that it’s in context of only one country I understand. Thank you!
@Dr_Done_ Too much really for me to say in limited texts. Not into public twitter wars, but would be open to calm, open minded offline conversation about how NHS is different from US system in the value of PAs and need for every patient to have as much care available to them as possible.
1/ Have been reluctant to embrace specific organization for Women in Surgery - if we didn’t feel like we were getting recognition and support, I felt like breaking off and not fighting for it within the “big group” was a bad move. Boy was I wrong. #AWS2023
3/ Grant rejections, imposter syndrome, personal missions. The stuff that keeps you going. That no one talks about. Realizing the value of support from all different avenues is eye opening. Thankful to @UofLDeptofSurg for making me feel supported and AWS for all of this! #AWS
