Every so often you get numb to living in generally dystopian times, and then a new wave of the global pandemic hits, a school shooter kills his classmates with a gun his dad bought on Black Friday, and a theocratic court moves to throw out reproductive rights all on the same day
@imperatorelan@holyqueerit Links to faves?? My husband goes to bed early and wants me to come and read or knit to be next to him and right now just ignores the tiny, low-level lamp I use. 😭🙏🏻 We used to have a (crappy) sleep mask, but he can’t find it. ☹️
Religious folks of The Twitter, I need your help!
I am in the car on the way to my grandmother’s funeral & forgot to grab the reading I printed out and it isn’t online. Help?
It’s Robert Alter’s translation of Lamentations 3:17-32.
Paging @TheRaDR, @roblee4 and @WilGafney...?
@TheRaDR@roblee4@WilGafney Thank you so much!! This is so helpful. And thank you for your condolences; she was 104, and much beloved. It will be good to be with family. ❤️
I’m honest to god struck seeing *current Secret Service agents* ripshit about the *sitting president* because they feel he puts their health at risk. I’m sure others may know if there’s been anything close to that anger but my lord it’s stunning

Actually, I’m angry. I’m angry at the way Trump mocked masks, how his children refused to wear them even at the debate, how they’ve held rallies and put so many at risk, how reporters for the WH are now coming down with it. It’s a pattern of callous, gross negligence. I’m angry.
Suddenly it’s the Coronavirus and not the China Virus. Suddenly we’re all in this together. Suddenly the Republican party is calling for people to show empathy. Suddenly it’s clear none of them cared until it affected them. YOU never mattered to him or them.
