Invested in and studied 19 subjects during medical training to serve this country and its people, sacrificing youth and "all that good life" for 12-15 years including preparatory years for basic MBBS, speciality MD and superspeciality DM to finally and exhaustingly become a healthcare worker treating liver diseases...

...only to find that the current Government is going to "certify" some illiterate bloke whose great-grandfather taught him how to "cure jaundice" using herbs and spices based on "generational knowledge."

I'm truly amazed at how the current Government keeps finding very novel & effective ways to degrade, insult and demean the doctors of this country.

Maybe it's time to leave to some place where there is respect from regulators and the majority of public alike?

Spectacles are essential for correction of refractory errors which can also be replaced with contact lens and sometimes complete lens/spectacle free using newer varieties of minimally-invasive interventional management - depending on the underlying eye disease.

Building a dam around the eyes with all-purpose flour and filling it with oil and herbal mumbo-jumbo does not make one go spectacles free.

"Netratarpan" is a fraud practice.This is deception on the patients, especially young children who would like to get rid of spectacles.

Practices such as Ayurveda leeches on desperation of the patient and family to make a business out of it. It has never helped anyone, anywhere, except the businesses and stakeholders.
