I always thought the word "Hrishikesh" was broken down as hrishi+kesha (ऋषियों के केश - hair of sages).

While re-reading the Geeta recently, found out that it means Lord of the Senses: हृषिक hrishika (senses) + ईश isha (lord)

A Volvo car hit a person and fled the scene on Nainital Road, Haldwani in front of the police station.
1. When we called 108, they did not respond.
2. The police arrived and stood near the body for about 15-20 minutes
