For those keeping score at home...

Things that WILL NOT get you expelled from the TN state legislature:
- child molestation
- domestic violence
- federal investigation
- peeing on your colleague's chair

Things that will:
- fighting to protect kids from gun violence

@nytimes you post this march 6, 2023? what is wrong with you

[Scott Burton @sbburton]

@rfornal that you deserve a lot of grace! and everyone can get overly busy! but I've seen how much you've done for the community over the last year and if anyone deserves a break it's you!

[Scott Burton @sbburton]

@rfornal it's not a great feeling when you miss a scheduled meeting or appointment but remember we are all human and we all make mistakes and just approaching it humbly with apologies, rescheduling is all you can do, and you've been such an asset to the 100Devs Community..

These people want media to “both sides” fascism. Don’t fall for it. ⬇️

Opinion | I attacked Nancy Pelosi‘s husband with a hammer—and now regret it. Here’s how Democrats can appeal to voters like me.

Thread: Let’s talk midterms, shall we?

There’s a lot of analysis out there that, in my view, is completely missing the point about both the stakes of this election *and* the GOP’s platform.

Let’s dig in. 1/X

If Biden is unable to freeze prices in the worldwide oil market, then I have no choice but to vote to end democracy in the United States.

If Herschel Walker were a woman who had an abortion, he would have lost the support of the Republican party and voters. But because he’s a man, he can abet an infinite number of abortions and still win a seat in the US Senate, where he’ll strip women of their reproductive rights.

Scientists have found evidence that those who cultivate love and compassion have greater peace of mind, while constant anger and fear make us uneasy and are bad for health. Common sense too tells us that people who are moved by love and compassion are peaceful and happy.

Hey, friends, we just gave our company to planet Earth. OK, it’s more nuanced than that, but we’re closed today to celebrate this new plan to save our one and only home. We’ll be back online tomorrow.

@skadadark @mayanwolfe heck yeah. thanks for the explanation!

[Scott Burton @sbburton]

@skadadark @mayanwolfe I've had to take a hiatus and am feeling pretty disheartened jumping back in, can you elaborate on storybooks - is that a mayanwolfe stream?
