Another headline. Another bill. Another round of senators patting themselves on the back for "bipartisan support" of psychedelic therapy for veterans.

I've been in this fight for over 5 years. Headlines like this used to fire me up.

Bipartisan support - the one thing both sides of the aisle claim to agree on. Healing our heroes at home.

Now? These headlines just make me laugh. And not in a good way.

Because nothing will get done.

Every single American I brief - after I share my personal story and the @NoFallenHeroes Foundation mission - agrees. Every one. This isn't a controversial position. 80% of Americans want secure elections. Doesn't matter. Washington can't deliver on the things its own people overwhelmingly support. The left and right wings belong to the same swamp animal. All interests are self interests.

I stopped going to Washington after a congressman told me behind closed doors that he supported what I was doing - but that I'd "have a problem with the Big Pharma, Alcohol, and Tobacco folks."

I looked at him and said, "Isn't that your job?"

Silence.

And I don't just throw stones - I recommend courses of action. When I met with VA Secretary @SecVetAffairs last year, I told him the most immediate thing Washington could do was vouchers. Simple. If a veteran comes out of pocket for their own healing, cut them a check. Or a non profit. Reimburse them. Thank them for taking the burden off a system that's failing them anyway. A year later - not a word from the Secretary. Not a word about vouchers from anyone. Clearly it makes too much sense.

No Fallen Heroes Foundation hasn't been waiting for our so-called "leaders" to act. We've helped hundreds of heroes heal - abroad and at home. And Sacred Warrior Fellowship was founded to reconnect our heroes with the Divine inside them and remind them that God does not make imperfect things.

We don't need another bill. We don't need another office. We don't need another "Center of Excellence" buried inside the VA bureaucracy.

Enough talk. We need action. 22 more vets will die today by their own hands. We've been providing it.
