The mysterious Sharaku produced many such designs in the 1790s. Theatre-goers could buy prints of their favourite actors, just like modern posters.

"Miss Moffat" was a 1974 musical adaptation of the play "The Corn is Green" by Emlyn Williams. Joshua Logan directed. Starring Bette Davis, Dorian Harewood, Anne Francine, Avon Long, & Nell Carter, the show never made it out of its Philadelphia tryout run at the Shubert Theatre.

2) There was never a cast album of composer Albert Hague's music for "Miss Moffat". But later Nell Carter and Avon Long, accompanied by members of the original cast, did the song "Peekaboo Jehovah" during a staged tribute to Logan. (Hat tip to @JoeLex5!) https://t.co/1ClFs7uZ1Z
