@mrlouieevans Yes, you need to let your employer know. I think you need to give 8 weeks notice.... something like that but it was quite a few years ago for me
@doc_kristy Is it all depends on their attitude to learning. 30 kids, not matter their prior attainment who want to learn is always easier than 25 who want to learn with 5 who really don't
@GBeconomics@adamboxer1 Yes, exactly. Or if you run a deficit it's for a well thought through reason, ie infrastructure. Schools, hospitals, nuclear power stations, etc
@GBeconomics@adamboxer1 Why not? Personally I believe the gov should manage the public purse with responsibility. Ie to not spend more than it receives via inflows. With the cavuate that when money is cheap it makes sense to invest for the future, be that power plants, general infrastructure etc.
@adamboxer1 But not teacher's salaries. Okay, if we had been kept broadly inline with inflation over the last 10years maybe, but this is just wrong. They are trying to use state sector wages to keep a lid on inflation. Inflation that they have massively contributed to by miss managing £££££
@adamboxer1 I was broadly supportive of austerity, but after 10 years this has worn thin. Miss management and different awards for the other nations within the United Kingdom have left us wanting. They gov is happy to accept that CPI is running at 10%+ and so can put up things like road tax.
@PennyJudge1@BPhysicswith@ChatPhysics You can, but it won't count for Ebacc so SLT will be unlikely to go for it. We used to do the ELC and then either Biology or Physics as a single GCSE for one class per cohort. We wouldn't make that decision until the end of year 10
@tom_grafton It's 100% not in the spec however, as others have mentioned it could poss be application using ratios. It's nit been in any papers to date. I think it very unlikely. However, % by mass of an element in a compound isn't in and that came up a few years ago.
@cogscisci If I can't make that day (it's my wife's 40th so would be in the dog house for a long time if I went), can I buy a ticket and access the videos afterwards?
@adamboxer1 Not great, but equally I would argue that it's better to find out they haven't been taught something and then cover it in some whole class feedback than not at all. Sneaky things like uncertainty.
