Has anyone on #energytwitter come across any studies to compare electric grid reliability (e.g., SAIDI, SAIFI) between electric utilities, in a way that controls for differences across service territories, weather, and other factors?

@johnffarrell Given that net metering was already reformed in Arizona, I think the utility is mostly indifferent to rooftop solar at this point.

And with load growth that’s happening out there, there will be limitless CapEx opportunity for utilities as part of the transmission.

I’m excited for the potential of those rate tariffs with strong/clear, augmented by managed charging programs

The scale of the prospective 24/7 data center load is challenging the notion I had that adding solar together with 4-5hr storage would (basically) be the bulk of the resources needed in sunny places
