Update: @Chase was worthless. Because the account has now been closed for more than 30 days, they say they can't do anything to help. She has other active credit cards with Chase right now that they could simply reassign the 153k points to but they refuse to do so.
@Chase closed my wife's credit card account and she lost 153k Ultimate Reward points we were planning to use for an anniversary trip. Customer service did nothing to help, nor did submitting a letter in writing to them. What an awful way to treat a customer of over 20 years.
@petersteele Refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, are all usually easy fixes with some cheap parts and YouTube. My wife hates me because every time an appliance dies and she thinks she's getting a brand new one, I fix it with an $8 part shipped overnight from Amazon.
@WarrenInTheBuff I'm finding the same. I'm refactoring a complex web app that was painstakingly tweaked by hand to render properly down to 360px width devices. AI has completely automated all that testing and design as we modernize the look. Playright automation is incredible.
GM just announced the biggest stock buyback in automotive industry history.
Instead of investing in their workers or new product lines, GM executives are robbing from the future to pay themselves and their shareholders today.
Stock buybacks should be illegal.
We have several old WP sites still running because they have great SEO and bring us new customers. They won't run on PHP 8, so no patch. I just had Claude scrape 2000ish pages and setup Hugo. Then deployed to Cloudflare pages. So simple now. Goodbye Wordpress, won't miss ya.
@eastdakota Matthew, as awesome as this is, I implore you to mention that admins must check that their websites, even behind Cloudflare, do not have their IP publicly addressable. Millions of sites, especially on shared IPs, are likely still vulnerable to this exploit
There's going to be a lot of unhappy people when they find out their unpatched PHP site is misconfigured and directly accessible by IP, which means it can be exploited even if Cloudflare is proxying it. Zero protection.
