exploring AI as a medium reminds me of when I first got into 3D modeling and animation - you have to stomach a lot of poor taste, porn, and videos made by mumbling teens to fully engage with the material and find the edges.
one thing AI will only accellerate is the amount of vicarious joyriders wrecking all parts of our world who aren't capable of understanding the difference between being able to access an idea or an image, and being capable of creating it.
To me, one of the most exciting parts of making work for screens is knowing that screens are everywhere, in different contexts, with both intimate and broad relationships to the viewer. A work for a screen fits in your hand or occupies the surface of a building.

I'm not surprised that Adobe is acquiring Figma for $20B, nor that Wall Street doesn't understand it and $ADBE stock is down more than $20B today. It's a smart move for Adobe because it's nearly impossible to make legacy software applications multi-user collaborative. Thread: π§΅
