@TheBookMoo So sad. We have a "secret garden" up on the field, and a place to sit in our main garden (how lucky are we!), and I take storybooks out to read in the sunshine. Strictly KS1, they love having their own session so much that I can't fit them all in the library!

Well, that was the weirdest school day ever. Thankfully the vast numbers we'd expected have done the sensible thing and found alternative childcare, so we can keep the ones who really need it safe. And ourselves, of course.

@TheBookMoo Half and half - I'm very part-time. I TA for Y5 the rest of the time, which I love - their classroom is next to the library so we have a really tight link and I can do extra book stuff with them.

Oh. Just realised I won't get to run summer book club for the littles this year ☹️

@TheBookMoo Absolutely. I'm not sure what our SLT is doing as there are some health issues, but it feels like we're super-strong as a team. Although I won't see lots of them til whenever this lifts, but I was kinda used to that in my library eyrie anyway!

@TheBookMoo I think we're sorted - elected to work in teams once every four days, rather than a week in/two weeks off. We all thought it would be better for morale and those of us with kids aren't leaving them for long stretches. Kids in school should remain a stable group now.

@TheBookMoo We'd expected 15, and ended up with a list of 50 on Friday, I thought our SLT were going to combust. But we had 12 today and we'll get a small variation on that due to shift work.

We all stayed in all day, partly to work out a rota and partly to support each other. It helped.
