Current Update: So, I’m out of options at the moment. The booking available through travelperk are so expensive and out of policy for the team

The last option for me now is to try book from pocket outside of travelperk and flight are really expensive atm. Upwards of $2500 for the round trip.

People have suggested that I crowdfund for a new fare to pay for the new ticket. So, here is me trying my last option to go for DevConnect.

Just finding out that I might not be able to make my flight to Buenos Aires this night. Because of transit visa!!! Despite applying for it over a month ago.

Made my bookings over a month ago and the only mistake I made was to book through @airfrance. I had no idea about the transit visa requirements.

I discovered only after booking that I’d need a transit visa for the 3 hrs layover in Paris. The ticket I book is non refundable so I went through a stressful 2 day process trying to figure out if I needed a transit visa; contacted the airlines, embassy support and everything.

And I immediately started the application, applied on the 6th of October and submitted my documents on 13th because I had to travel down to Lagos.

I was informed that it will take 20 working days (meaning I’ll get my passport back on Monday). That is still fine right as long as that meet up with my flight

Turned out that it was a miscommunication and the consulate can extend that. Now my passport is stuck in the process and I have no idea what to do. At least give me back my passport.

There is no point of contact or anything. Sent an email but I got an automated response

How am I supposed to compete on the global level if I have to go through all these stress just for a 3 hours layover?
