Still the aid trucks carrying medicine haven't got the permission to cross to #Tigray. Every minute we are loosing patients. Time is running against emergency and dialysis patients. #WhereIsThePeace
If PM Abiy is serious about peace he could TODAY authorise a flight by the UN into Mekelle with desperately needed medicines and medical equipment - AND allow an international media team on the flight to broadcast from Tigray's capital. Easily done.
Today, Eritrean forces are on a house-to-house search in #Adwa, looting any vehicle they find. These forces have been commiting heinous crimes, vandalising & looting properties of #Tigray for 2 yrs. Aiming to continue those attrocities, they are fighting hard to reach #Adigrat.
#TigrayUnderAttack

Ethiopia civil war: What is clear - from information obtained from Western diplomats - is that the Ethiopian National Defence Force and its allied Amhara militia, known as the Fano, had mobilized a huge force to that location over prior weeks. https://t.co/JSfSDgG5Jm
I am proud to have published on my last day at @HRW this article spotlighting the Ethiopian government's ongoing blockage of desperately needed humanitarian aid for Tigray -- and other African governments' weak public response. https://t.co/vNVGQJDSfq
@Karl_Lauterbach@DrTedros Bitte handeln Sie! @Tigrayunity_Ger
Tragic to see the active conflict in #Tigray, Ethiopia again, but in reality, the war never stopped. For over 21 months, 6 million people have been under siege. We call for the resumption of essential services and an end to the blockade. The only solution is peace.
As fighting resumes in northern #Ethiopia & aid access again cut off, African states & UN shld make clear that the Ethiopian govt's denial of aid & basic services in #Tigray as a war strategy won't be normalised, but sanctioned, @KenRoth in @ForeignPolicy https://t.co/hh7ZevVNzB
“My family live in the areas being targetedㅡall residential areas & very crowded ones. The very thought of hungry people, especially women & children, not being able to run away from the strikes keep me up at night,” says Meaza, who grew up in the area. https://t.co/lkRi6Rxqu9
@Karl_Lauterbach@DrTedros Vor jeder Verhandlung MUSS humanitäre Hilfe rein.

Habe heute erneut mit WHO DG @DrTedros gesprochen. Die Menschen sind eingekesselt. Keine Medikamente kommen durch. Kinder verhungern.
