Last night Eritrean government supporters arrived at Ibra Menges’ coffee shop in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv and attacked customers inside. Menges was an Eritrean refugee murdered on May 9th. One man was killed and 2 more badly injured. More than 20 Eritreans were arrested.

If the PFDJ loyalists go ahead with the liberation party, they will be fined 100,000 euros!
Mayor Huri Sahin Rijswijk has recently banned the liberation celebration of the Eritrean regime loyalists. She believes that it is an event for which a permit should be applied for. If the party does go ahead, the organization must pay 100,000 euros. The organization is going to court to allow the party to go ahead.
The celebration party is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 in the Event Plaza in Rijswijk. The function center had registered the event with the municipality, but according to the mayor, the safety risk is 'life-threatening'. The municipality of Rijswijk stated in a response that the mayor maintains her position. 'An Eritrean liberation party with 700 to 900 visitors entails a major security risk. The risk of disruptions to public order is considered very high.'
Reference is made to various other events of the Federation of Eritrean Communities of the Netherlands (FEN) that have gotten out of hand in recent years. For example, earlier this year riots broke out between various groups of Eritreans at the Opera venue in The Hague.
