@BBCBreaking@BBCNews I stopped buying US products when they first announced tariffs (admittedly that's not possible with everything). Also check ultimate beneficial ownership before you buy (think Cadbury's or Costa). If all of Europe did that US big biz would quickly be telling Trump to back down.
@biconsuk@WhippetDigest@LondonEconomic VAT is paid by consumers, not companies, they just collect it, which is why you see it broken out on your receipt.
@rejserin If you, as a male, play in women's sport then you are a cheat. There are right wingers and Tate on one side, and the likes of you on the other - you're taking women's rights backwards, shame on you. It's a disgrace.
@ChristineM63423@JackDan110 Do you think trans women should be in women only spaces (e.g., changing rooms or refuges)? Do you think trans women should be in women's sports? Do you think trans women should be telling women how to think? Trans women are not women, they are men and nothing will change that.
@AbcDef978744162@CattyT1@Red07859895@jk_rowling Trans women are biologically male. You attempt to refute the truth with cries of bigotry - in the real world, i.e. not with your mates, that doesn't work. Males, trans or not, should be nowhere near a rape crisis centre, end of.
@FondOfBeetles Sadly, this arse is probably being fed into the social media feeds of young lads up and down the country. It's a disgrace they're allowed to make money from misogyny.
@amnesty What a shame an organisation like @amnesty doesn't stand behind women. I can only assume it is controlled by misogynistic men. Truly shocking.
@confirmedbchlor@Melissa07037879@PaulineHansonOz Men don't feel safe? There is a long, long history of men abusing women. It still happens. All the time. All around the world. Men are the problem here. Women need single sex spaces. Men don't.
@GooglePlay very disappointed you refused my refund request because I just missed your 48 hour 'deadline'. My son now has a game he can't play whilst you're in the money. Is this what being Big Tech is all about? ps I don't think you're complying with the Consumer Rights Act.
@philbeck10@novaramedia If someone was kneeling on my throat, I'd take issue with them first, and then the people who 'made' them do it. The unions have a choice when to call strikes. I now think they get a kick out of maximising misery for hard-working people.
@CamptonPat @novaramedia Demanding a 19% pay rise is not reasonable. If technology can replace humans and make the process more efficient then do it. A train driver can close doors as well as drive a train. Of course people should be treated and paid fairly, but we can't hide from new tech forever.
@philbeck10@novaramedia It's not just about inconvenience though, is it? What about the livelihoods of those who run/work for businesses that are hammered by this, or people who can't get to work and don't get paid? Do you think it's OK to trash someone else's life to get more in yours?
@philbeck10@novaramedia Striking in and of itself is not an issue. I disagree with striking that maximises disruption to other people's lives. e.g. over the Christmas period, when people need to see family and small businesses (and thus their employees) are desperate for seasonal trade.
@marilynbethS@jk_rowling@NicolaSturgeon My daughters have a right to their own single-sex safe spaces. Therefore other people's identity is very much my business.
