The NHL maintaining a decentralized draft is incredibly disappointing.

Speaking to an #NHL Exec…he suggests if a player negotiates a no-trade or a no move clause in their contract but then requests to be traded prior to the expiration of their deal, the NTC should be voided and the team should be allowed to trade the player to any team in the league.

the NHL Draft was unique with all the teams at their tables on the draft floor. It was awesome. Watching GMs peel off to chat or pick up the phone and call. Feels like the league tried too hard to be like the NFL or the NBA. It was a big miss last year. Bring back the old draft

People send me a lot of things via text or DM, either from their own experience, or FB, or other channels.

This morning was quite busy, especially so with the scourge of Punjabi ‘truckers’ nearly wiping out a mutual on the Alaska Highway and another pushing traffic off the road on 17 in Northern Ontario. Also news of ‘driver shortage’ narrative bullcrap in Japan, where there, just like here, the trucker is treated like garbage and expected to accept low pay and insane working hours as an unassailable burden, lest the Japanese ruling class invite the third world in to turn their highways into death traps.

It’s the first weekend of summer, be careful out there everyone. Your government still hates you and haven’t done nearly enough to deal with these imminent dangers on our roads.

Please pay attention and be on high alert behind the wheel.
