This school was on an airforce base, all of us had parents in the air force, some of us were in Air Cadets. We knew how aircraft worked. All of us in grade 8 knew the plane would lift off. 😊

If the normal takeoff speed is 180 kts, then the conveyor would be going 180kts against the aircraft, so the wheels would be spinning at 360 knot equiv. as the plane lifts.

If you attached wings to a Bugatti Veyron and tried to take off, what you say would be true.
But the engines produce thrust regardless of wheel speed. So the aircraft would still move down the runway regardless of conveyor speed.
