DeepSeek will bill Saturday and Sunday at the off-peak rate from Aug 23, the mail @MaxForAI posted.

Weekday peak and off-peak stay. Batch jobs can just land on the weekend now. 😅

The cheap window is why @thePixelsAI says companies will move shifts onto Saturday and Sunday.

突发：DeepSeek 宣布再次更改 API 计费，周末直接全时段低谷价。

DeepSeek 刚刚通知，8 月 23 日 00:00 起调整峰谷计费规则：

周六、周日全天取消峰谷时段，统一按照低谷价格收费。

也就是说，以后周末不用再卡点等低谷时段了，跑批量任务、Agent、数据生成这些吃 Token 的活，直接丢周末跑就行。

新规明天凌晨正式生效，生效前产生的费用还是按照旧规则结算。

工作日继续削峰填谷，周末算力闲着也是闲着，干脆便宜卖。

ARR's recurring may not actually mean recurring, which is the wording trap @chamath pointed at. The same trap is what @GaryMarcus split into Annual Recurring Revenue versus Annualized Run Rate, with this year's Anthropic revenue possibly moving to open models.

If the slide says ARR and the cash is a three-month spike, procurement is underwriting a run rate, not a renewal.

ARR can mean both “Annual Recurring Revenue” and “Annualized Run Rate” and Anthropic (or least its supporters) may well be playing games with that, implying the former but really talking about the latter.

And of course there is a substantial chance that a lot of this year’s revenue won’t recur for them, as it moves over to open models.
