I’ve always thought customer satisfaction was one of the best metrics; it’s often a direct goal. It’s also one of the easiest things to collect and measure.

If the only measure of success you use is GDP, then fires, floods, earthquakes, tornados, and riot are all good things because destruction generates revenue. Let’s figure out a different measure, one that measures our true success, not just money.
