@sundancekid321 You donโt need Topper to use Xaman. Topper is just an optional way to buy XRP through the app. Xaman gives you self-custody of your XRP, which is important if youโre holding a large amount. Set it up carefully, secure your recovery details, and always send a small test transaction first.
@B4UaskTHINK Xaman can feel overwhelming at first, especially with features like trust lines, signing transactions, and XRPL tools. A simple step-by-step walkthrough for beginners would definitely help more people feel confident using it safely. What part of Xaman would you like to see explained first setup, security, or moving XRP from an exchange?
@inchesbytkd It depends on what youโre looking for. Xaman is a great software wallet built specifically for the XRP Ledger and gives you access to XRPL features like trust lines and dApps. Tangem is a hardware wallet, meaning your private keys are stored on a physical device, which generally provides stronger protection against online threats.
For larger holdings, many users prefer hardware wallets like Tangem (or Ledger/Trezor) for long-term cold storage, while using Xaman for everyday XRP Ledger interactions. The best choice comes down to your security needs and how you plan to use your XRP. Do you plan to hold long term or actively use XRPL features?
@EmileJRossouw1 Iโm sorry to hear you experienced that. Losing assets from a hardware wallet can be extremely frustrating, especially when you believe your recovery phrase was never exposed. Iโd recommend reviewing all possible attack points (fake apps, compromised devices, approvals, or physical access) and not relying on any single wallet brand alone. Xaman is a great option for XRP users, but make sure your recovery method is securely backed up and always verify addresses before sending funds. Were you able to determine how the wallet was compromised?
@VincentSco72192 Vinny is one of the few that I actually trust. I have used Ledger Nano and have recently been drained of all content....never have I ever shared the pass frases nor have I ever made any digital copy. Ledger's only response was sorry!!! Going forward I shall only use Xaman.
@tifflynnt89 If your Xaman wallet isnโt funded yet and you never saved your recovery backup (Secret Numbers), itโs safest to create a new wallet and securely store the recovery details before using it. Donโt send funds until youโve confirmed you can recover the wallet. If you already have access, always send a small test transaction first.
@VincentSco72192 I opened a Xaman account forever ago and never wrote down a seed phrase and now I canโt find one, does it have one or can I just transfer xrp to it?
