@Laura55043167 Use the lessons that your currently have and make them editable for your students. This helps with unexpected snow days and allows for your students to have all their materials from any format- remote or in-person learning

@NatalieTucci2 We do a gallery walk of pictures that involve different topics that revolve around the unit's theme- students collaborate and try to figure out the theme from the pictures and the task at the end of unit & playing short videos to have students guess connection #wuedt6020#week6
@MayBlan27 We’ve done a ton with our kiddos; here are a couple ideas - kahoots, pen pals, virtual field trips, scavenger hunts, school pride, group yoga/exercise, show and tell, share book reports, spirit themed based on holidays coming up, jeopardy, and choice board break out rooms
@ZTemple5 @SarahQJ I agree! One way my team and I kept our school spirit and grade level pride was having a team building zoom meeting on Fridays. This is where the whole grade met up and we did a kahoot or virtual field trip. The students enjoyed seeing classmates from other classrooms!
@McCoolWILMu Advice I would give to an educator who is struggling/beginning to use edu tech in the classroom is to start with one technology at a time and become the master at it. It takes a lot of patience & once the confidence is built you can add more tools to your instruction! #wuedt6020
@ms_maxwell181@McCoolWILMu I absolutely agree! There are so many helpful teachers either on your team, down the hallway, or even sitting next you at a PD. So many of us teachers enjoy sharing what we are doing in the classroom in hopes of inspiring others as well. Everyone can be a teacher and student
@McCoolWILMu My best advice would be don't be afraid to ask for help with technology. Once you learn how to use something, you can help others! :) #wuedt6020
@TeachMissKomp @McCoolWILMu Students are such a great resource to use when introducing new apps or websites to enhance content and learning. I recommend giving a learning survey at the beginning of the school year to find out what they are interested in- this can be helpful when deciding what tech to use!
@MayBlan27 Building relationships with students at home has been a challenge. One of the tools that my team and I have used are creating a team building block within our schedule- where students are able to do fun activities that foster collaboration and discussion with classmates#wuedt6020
While I have been able to build a strong bond with my students in person, I struggle to build relationships with the students I have at home. So, Week 5

@EDTElizabeth Using videos and screen recordings is a successful tool in case parents are unable to attend meetings or need help with homework/assignments at home. We have used video recordings of our lessons and informational nights to post on our class website for all to access #wuedt6020
