Well this is states what I’ve seen up close clearly. I have been lucky enough to be part of the harm reduction expansion articulated in the ATI report and funded through Measure J. Abolitionists made space and created resources to scale od prevention as death rates skyrocket.

I could not agree more with these tweets. We desperately need to invest in people, where they are, honor strength and commit to meeting needs. To do this we have to look at how we care for folks and work to build trust and better, accessible, accountable systems of care.

We must have patience in getting ppl into housing & services. It takes time to gain ppls trust. We also need to invest in building housing first & harm reduction programs. Sobriety is not a linear journey or goal for all. Maintaining Mental & behavioral health is life long.
