यो एउटा जटिल प्रश्न हो र निर्णय धेरै सावधानीपूर्वक लिनुपर्छ।हो, यसमा विदेशी ऋण घटाउने जस्ता सम्भावित फाइदाहरू छन् तर आर्थिक स्थिरता, संकट व्यवस्थापन र व्यापार वित्तपोषणको लागि आवश्यक पर्ने सञ्चितिको कमी सहितका महत्त्वपूर्ण जोखिमहरू पनि छन्।

स्थिर विनिमय दर (fixed exchange rate) कायम राख्न राष्ट्र बैंकले विदेशी विनिमय बजारमा सक्रिय रूपमा हस्तक्षेप गर्दछ। Nepal maintains a fixed exchange rate with Indian Rupee (INR) and requires significant forex reserves to support the peg.

Any decision to use forex reserves to pay off debt or to finance domestic projects ultimately depends on a thorough benefit / cost analysis. I am sure Dr. Poudel and NRB colleagues are well aware of the issues and challenges of such a move.
