Together, we can help end rough sleeping.
@leader_wcc Cllr Adam Hug and Deputy Leader Cllr Aicha Less committed to end rough sleeping in Westminster by signing the first ever London Rough Sleeping Charter @MayorofLondon.
By working with our partners such as @passagecharity, we will strive to ensure that people sleeping rough are safe from violence, abuse and discrimination.

Great to join @AdamHug last night for a community event to celebrate the work of the Queen’s Park Bangladeshi Association. We are delighted to work with our local Bangladeshi community across a wide range of issues, from health and housing to education
A year with both its ups and downs just as every year gone by before. I was privileged enough to complete my year as Lord Mayor in which I summed up almost a 1000 events, ranging from the Loyal Address at Buckingham Palace to the Coronation Street parties in Westminster and of course the Coronation itself!👑 It was also amazing to be able to help with having the first ever Ramadan lights in Westminster with the help of our Mayor and the Aziz Foundation! And the many Iftars that were hosted with a big thanks to Open Iftar!🙌🏽
With the positives of my year, came the tough times; with the losses of my Grandfather, Father and Grandmother in the space of 3 months. Losses I will never be able to get over. An indiscriminate pain that, for some time, left my life frozen.
However I was able to gain some normality after the summer after a short trip to Morocco and with the appointment of myself as a Deputy Cabinet member. I also managed to grab myself a job at a wonderful local charity: PDT! Something I am certainly looking forward to get stuck into! It was an honour to serve my City and I look forward to what’s next!
Wishing all the best to everyone in the year ahead!🎉🎉🎉

We did a walkabout with the Parking Marshals who patrol Hyde Park Ward to get a flavour of the issues they deal with on a daily basis.
We saw the Marshals check parked cars to see if they had up to date permits.
Hamza Taouzzale, the Lord Mayor of Westminster, is the youngest ever and first Muslim to hold the ceremonial role, which serves as a good-will ambassador for Westminster and its residents. The post outranks many of London's most powerful and privileged. https://t.co/3AYV8lPGFE
So pleased that Labour @CityWestminster is rebuilding a local presence in our estates and neighbourhoods. Even more pleased that the Queen’s Park estate office is first on the list
