🌿 What London needs: new, green public transport, clean air
😷 What London's getting: a new £2.2bn road project to make our air more toxic & put more cars on the streets
@sadiqkhan@mayorforlondon + Riverlinx @macquarie there's still time to #StopTheSilvertownTunnel
@newhamcyclists@SilvertownTn Request: (those who can) possible to show some support to @SilvertownDust by a short ride to Bradfield Road (5mins cycle) to show opposition against polluters & highlight the dire, neglected state of Lyle Park Children's playground by @NewhamLondon@rokhsanafiaz
Eye opener too
"The land owner does not give a shit, the council does not give a shit and the enviroment agency does not give a shit"
Sounds very familiar, same on the @NewhamLondon side #LondonIsBroken
@DanLThorpe@mtpennycook@Royal_Greenwich#EnderbyWharf
Does anyone representing Greenwich actually care about the environment? Countless emails and calls to get someone, somewhere to 'give a shit' about this. Zero care. Zero action. As local leaders what can you do help us?
When @SadiqKhan is saying that we need to fight against air pollution he is obviously right. Like a murderer saying that murder is a nasty thing is also right. Problem is lack of the connection between their words and acts.
#SilvertownTunnel#EcoHypocrite#ClimateCriminal
State of pollution at @YourRoyalDocks , this is from outer side of bathroom air vent fan replaced 3yrs ago
This is the air we breathe & @MayorofLondon , @SadiqKhan wants to continue with a tunnel with HGVs to bring in more not only toxic fumes but dirt, rubble, tyre pollution
@Councillorsuzie Given how much of a building site the entire area is with industry allow to do what they want, when they want and with no one willing to clean it up... I imagine its not doing too great 🌪️
CARE ABOUT NEWHAM? DON'T DUMP RUBBISH.
Dumping waste on the street is disrespectful to everyone. It's one of the reasons why we're clamping down hard on those who dump waste with £400 fines for those we catch
#WeAreNewham#WeAreRespectful
@NewhamLondon @thishanuk @UKLabour Think it needs rather more than street cleansing. Those lorries should be washed down before they leave site and join the public Highway. Considerate construction schemes should include this basic measure?
