The President of the Republic of Rwanda @UrugwiroVillage is right on #Minembwe.
The silence and inaction of the International community is parallel to that of 1994 genocide against in Rwanda. The Congolese and Burundian government actions should be condemned by all.

Since 2017: Banyamulenge communities in South Kivu have faced repeated attacks, including killings, village burnings, cattle looting, and mass displacement.

1. UN Findings (2019–2020):
171 documented human rights violations in the Hauts Plateaux.

2. 38% of victims were Banyamulenge.
15% of violations were committed by FARDC (Congolese army).

3. Hate Speech: UN reports documented persistent incitement portraying Banyamulenge as “foreigners” or “Rwandans,” fueling ethnic violence.

4. Government-backed Militias: Human Rights Watch (2025) found that the Congolese government continued supplying Wazalendo militias despite their documented abuses against Banyamulenge civilians.

5. In 2026 to date: FARDC, allied militias, and Burundian forces encircled Minembwe, while drone strikes, blocked humanitarian aid, and attacks on civilians worsened the humanitarian crisis.

As a fierce leader who stopped the genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda, he’s absolutely right to speak out against these atrocities. Don’t stop Mr. President.

Apres la réunion de Kinshasa entre Ndayishimiye et Tshisekedi, les drones redoublent d’ardeur et bombardent les hôpitaux, écoles et d’autres infrastructures de base à Minembwe.

Cet après-midi du jeudi 25 juin 2026, les drones de ces deux hommes et leurs armées ont largué 4 bombes sur l’hôpital général de Minembwe. Les images vont vous montrer la pharmacie détruite et les médicaments en feu. Ils ont largué 12 bombes à Ilundu notamment sur l’Institut Ilundu.

Hier mercredi 24/06/26 les drones de ces régimes avaient bombardé pour la nième fois la piste de de l’aérodrome de Minembwe et l’hôpital général une fois encore.

À défaut de prendre et d’occuper Minembwe par les FARDC et les FDNB, malgré l’encerclement et le blocus qui privent la population de l’accès au marché et aux denrées de première nécessité comme le sel, sucre, médicaments etc, les d’eux Présidents décident de détruire les hôpitaux, les écoles, les églises, aédrome, les maisons d’habitations et autres.

Et la déclaration de Londres d’hier 24 juin on en fait quoi ? As the Joint Oversight Committee welcomes new commitments to peace and expresses concern over drone strikes on civilians and the worsening humanitarian crisis in eastern DRC, the reality on the ground tells a different story.

While agreements are being signed to give the Banyamulenge and other civilians in Minembwe a chance to live in peace and dignity, violence continues unabated.

According to local sources, FARDC, together with Burundian forces, FDLR, and Wazalendo militias, continue attacks on Banyamulenge villages. Hospitals and civilian infrastructure have reportedly been damaged, and lifesaving medications stored in medical facilities destroyed—leaving mothers, newborn babies, the elderly, and the wounded without the care they desperately need.

Peace is not achieved through signatures alone. It is achieved when bombs stop falling, hospitals are protected, humanitarian aid reaches those in need, and civilians can live without fear.

The people of Minembwe are pleading for urgent humanitarian assistance and meaningful protection. The international community must ensure that the commitments made at the negotiating table are reflected in the lives of those trapped by the violence. Lives cannot wait.

🚨 BREAKING – MINEMBWE UNDER AERIAL ATTACK

June 14th, 2026

Since 6:00 a.m. today, villages in the Minembwe area of South Kivu, including Gakenke, Bidegu, Kalingi, and Ilundu ya Ruhinamavi—have come under aerial bombardment by drones and Sukhoi aircraft.

Civilian-populated areas have been targeted, forcing residents to flee. The number of casualties and the full extent of the destruction remain unknown.

This is a heartbreaking and deeply alarming development.
Innocent civilians, including women and children are once again caught in the horrors of war, fleeing for their lives as their communities come under attack.
Every moment of silence risks more suffering and loss.

The people of Minembwe deserve protection, not bombardment. The world must not look away.

PUBLIC STATEMENT
Mahoro Peace Association (MPA) strongly condemns the killing of Banyamulenge civilians in Ilundu village, Minembwe, on the night of June 6–7, 2026.

While families were sleeping, shells and drones struck homes, a school, and civilians.
This was not a battlefield attack. Innocent people were targeted.
Two young people were killed:
Prince Runezerwa Mahiyabo (19)
Trésor Kigeri Mazuru

At least six others, including children were injured.
A primary school was also damaged.
This attack is not an isolated event. It is part of years of violence against the Banyamulenge people.

MPA believes these acts must be recognized as part of an ongoing genocide.

The attacks also raise serious concern about violations of the Washington Peace Agreement, which requires the protection of civilians and a ceasefire.

We call for urgent action:
Protect civilians in Minembwe
Help the wounded and allow humanitarian aid
Investigate these attacks and hold those responsible accountable
Ensure the Washington Peace Agreement is respected

La nuit du samedi 06/06/2026 au dimanche 07/06/2026, les bombardements des FARDC et de la FDNB ont tué et blessé plusieurs personnes civiles, y compris des enfants, dans le village d’Ilundu/chez le Pasteur Ruberanganizi. Deux classes de l’E.P. Ilundu ont été endommagées.

Voici ci-dessous la liste des personnes décédées et des personnes blessées.

Personnes décédées :

Un premier pas vers le secours à Minembwe - mais des efforts bien plus importants restent nécessaires

Aujourd’hui marque une avancée majeure : après des années d’accès limité, une première agence humanitaire a enfin atteint Minembwe.

Ce progrès résulte des efforts de plaidoyer menés par Mahoro Peace Association (MPA) et de nombreux partenaires engagés à alerter sur l’urgence humanitaire dans la région. C’est un moment de soulagement et d’espoir.
Nous exprimons notre gratitude au Comité international de la Croix‑Rouge (@CICR) pour cette intervention essentielle, qui apporte une assistance médicale longtemps attendue aux populations de Minembwe et des environs. L’accès aux soins de base étant gravement insuffisant, cette action contribuera à sauver des vies.

🚨 URGENT ALERT : A drone attack has struck Minembwe TODAY again, directly targeting UEMI school. Four bombs were dropped. The scale of damage and casualties remains unknown.

We strongly condemn this attack. It underscores the grave reality that civilians continue to be targeted with impunity.

This is precisely why tens of thousands of Congolese Banyamulenge and Tutsi across the world took to the streets, from Washington DC, to London, Nairobi to Ottawa. These warnings cannot continue to be ignored.

Facing your killers in peace is one of the bravest acts a human being can perform. Yet look at their faces — the entire DRC Embassy staff in D.C. couldn’t look @DougGasore in the eye.
Over 3,000 Banyamulenge American protesters stood right behind him, demanding:
1.Cessation of bombardment by DRC drones in Minembwe, DRC
2.End the humanitarian blockade: establish corridors so aid can reach civilian populations in Minembwe and surrounding areas
3.Release of ethnically profiled prisoners held in Kinshasa’s prisons
4.Remove FDLR from our parents’ soil
Is this too much to ask? The DRC bears full responsibility for the protection and well-being of all people living within its borders.

Today, more than 4000 Congolese from all States came to Washington DC to denounce the targeted violence, the blockade, the human rights abuse and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Minembwe against the banyamulenge community. Over the last several months the Congolese army and the Burundian Army have decided to wipe out the Banyamulenge from the DRC map using every means possible including starving them to death. This is unacceptable in the 21st century. It is for situations like these that the UN charter was created in 1945. Mahoro Peace Association strongly condemns the relentless and systematic drone attacks targeting civilians in Minembwe.

On the evening of Monday, March 23, 2026, a 95-year-old man, Adrien Rudaga, was killed inside his own home in Ilundu. Unarmed and defenseless, he was simply living out his final years in peace. His death stands as a horrifying symbol of the violence unfolding in the region.

These attacks are being carried out by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) under President Félix Tshisekedi, in direct coordination with Burundian forces (FDNB) under President Evariste Ndayishimiye, the current Chairperson of the African Union.

Credible reports indicate that the drones are being launched from Bujumbura, raising grave concerns about cross-border operational involvement and escalation.

Consider this: the leader entrusted with upholding peace and unity across Africa bears responsibility for drone strikes that are killing innocent civilians.

The pattern is clear and deeply disturbing:

• *March* 22*: Drones bombed Gakenke, specifically targeting the home of Chief Rutaganda.

*• March 21*: Multiple villages were bombed repeatedly.

*• March 20*: Attacks struck Kalingi, Karongi, Bidegu, Sinaï, and Kiziba airfield, killing a 14-year-old child, wounding around ten civilians, and destroying livestock.

For days, beginning March 18 and continuing onward, drones have struck relentlessly, day and night. They have targeted herders, farmers, and civilians gathering firewood. Anything that moves appears to be treated as a legitimate target.

Churches have been bombed. Villages live in terror. Lives and livelihoods are being systematically erased.

This is not collateral damage. It is a deliberate campaign against civilians.

As the current African Union Chairperson, President Evariste Ndayishimiye cannot escape responsibility for actions carried out by forces under his command.

The silence of the international community is deafening.

How can the African Union credibly speak of peace while its own Chairperson is implicated in violence against innocent civilians?

We demand immediate accountability, an immediate end to these drone strikes, and urgent protection for the people of Minembwe.
