@BrookeTaylor_xo@beh353 I agree! Instead of removing certain food groups it is better to have a well balanced diet. There are so many celebrities and people on social media that promote certain foods or diets but instead, it’s better to have a balanced diet and do what’s best for you @beh353#beh353
In my future role as a healthcare professional, if my patients ask me any questions regarding nutrition I will to the best of my ability to answer the question using my knowledge. If I don’t know the answer, I will refer them to a registered dietitian. @beh353#beh353
This was a very interesting article! I always knew that energy drinks were not the greatest and this article showed that. They usually contain a lot of sugar and caffeine. As said in the article, it’s better to have a well balanced diet. @beh353#beh353
I agree! It’s all about balance, people should not cut out foods like white bread or ice cream. It’s good to have everything in moderation. In fact I didn’t know that completely cutting out foods like white bread or red meat can lead to consequences. @beh353#beh353
If you are feeling badly about having eaten foods today that don't fit into your "clean eating plan", think again. There are unintended consequences to #cleaneating.

@manognadumpala@EmmaDArpinoRD@beh353 I agree! I learned a lot about milk. I have always heard from others that almond milk is better for you than cow’s milk but now I know that that’s not true. For example one of the reasons being that cow’s milk has more protein @beh353#beh353
@EmmaDArpinoRD Thank you for your lecture this week! I didn’t know that in some cases it’s possible to get more nutritional benefits from frozen fruits and vegetables than from fresh produce @beh353#beh353
I agree! There is so much more to food than just the nutrition aspect of it. Food brings people together for example going to a restaurant where people both eat and spend time together, going to a birthday party where people eat and socialize, and more @beh353#beh353
This is very good news! For some kids the majority of what they eat in a day is at school, therefore it is very good that they are making school meals healthier by for example limiting added sugars @beh353#beh353
This was very informing! It was interesting to read all of the benefits of oatmeal and that all types of oatmeal have similar amounts of vitamins and nutrients. Cooking the oatmeal in milk and peanut butter adds more protein to your breakfast and banana adds fruit @beh353#beh353
A good pattern for athletes is to eat breakfast like a king. How about a satiating bowl of #oatmeal cooked in milk + #peanutbutter + banana? This blog explains all you might want to know about oatmeal: https://t.co/GA5zxmIzqK
I would give this article to an older adult to help them eat well. I chose this article because it is from a trusted source and also it is easy to read since it is short, simple, organized, and easy to comprehend. @beh353#beh353 https://t.co/C1U2mhLGgE
@NyaSan23@beh353 This was a very informing article! I like how it starts off with general information then goes onto be more specific with labeled sections. This makes it much easier to read since it is so organized. @beh353#beh353
@Radhika0823@beh353 I agree with you! Weight or the way someone looks should make no difference at all on how a patient is treated by a medical professional. @beh353#beh353
I will educate future patients that are struggling with their weight by giving advice on how to eat healthy (based off the dietary guidelines) and I will definitely not congratulate a patient if they have an eating disorder like it was mentioned in the article @beh353#beh353
This is very interesting! I’m glad that they did something about it (removing the cartoons that attract kids to the high in sugar cereal). @beh353#beh353
I didn’t know that genetics and lack of sleep are also important factors in obesity. I will incorporate this professionally moving forward by taking all of these factors into consideration when giving advice to patients and informing them on this topic @beh353#beh353
@_alyssachen_@beh353 I definitely agree! There are so many different causes of obesity that I didn’t know about like lack of sleep and I will definitely use this information in the future. @beh353#beh353
Chrono-nutrition -- the timing of your meals -- is important. Thanks @ConscienHealth for this helpful guidance. https://t.co/FiK9B6l70c Breakfast like a king works for me!
This is very true! People may think that because it’s higher in calorie it will lead to them gaining weight but that’s not true because peanut butter is a healthy and filling snack. It’s not like candy for example which is all sugar and not filling. @beh353#beh353
If you are afraid to eat #peanutbutter, thinking it will contribute to weight gain, think again. PB can be a satisfying. afternoon snack that curbs your appetite for dinner —and eat less. https://t.co/TJpfhpStFQ
This is very true! Although eating and exercise plays a big role in obesity management there’s many other factors at play too. Like where someone lives, for example they can live in a neighborhood that does not have many healthy options. @beh353#beh353
If "eat less and exercise more" is not the answer to obesity management, what is? How much of a role does the environment play in weight gain? Food for thought... https://t.co/C2kQZvH3HQ @ConscienHealth
@kjohnson31@beh353 I definitely agree! There’s just some situations that you can’t avoid unhealthy foods. The same applies to when my extended family gets together, there aren’t always the healthiest options but it would be rude like you said, to not eat it. @beh353#beh353
