Je lave des corps fragiles.
J’habille des mains tremblantes.
Je nourris des bouches fatiguées.
J’offre des mots doux là où il n’y a plus que le silence.
Je rends leur dignité à ceux qui ne peuvent plus la préserver eux-mêmes.
Je prends soin d’hommes et de femmes qui ont tout donné à ce monde.
Et qui, aujourd’hui, ne méritent qu’une chose : être soignés avec humanité.

Réduire ce métier à « nettoyer des derrières », ce n’est pas seulement faux.
C’est insultant.
Parce que derrière chaque geste, il y a du respect.
Derrière chaque contact, il y a de la délicatesse.
Derrière chaque garde épuisante, il y a un cœur qui a choisi de servir.

Et vous savez quoi ?
Ceux qui se moquent de ce métier sont souvent ceux qui n’ont jamais eu besoin d’aide.
Qui n’ont jamais vu un parent perdre son autonomie.
Qui n’ont jamais eu à accepter leur propre fragilité.
Mais ce jour viendra.
Et ce jour-là… ils seront reconnaissants de nous trouver.

Reconnaissants de trouver quelqu’un qui ne juge pas.
Qui tend la main.
Qui soigne avec dignité, patience et amour silencieux.

Notre métier est fait de personnes.
Il est fait de courage.
Il est fait de présence, quand tout le reste s’efface.

Ce n’est pas un travail comme les autres.
C’est un travail vital.

La prochaine fois que cela vous fera rire… réfléchissez-y.
Car un jour, peut-être, ce sera votre tour.
Et vous serez heureux qu’à vos côtés, il y ait quelqu’un comme nous.

So I said,
“Okay, I don’t believe Muhammad existed. There is no historical evidence outside Islam that proves his existence.”

“Hold on! Let me show you non-Islamic sources that prove Muhammad existed. Christian and Byzantine writers mentioned a prophet among the Arabs.”

I asked him,
“Do you actually believe those sources?”

He said,
“💯 Absolutely.”

“Okay, then let’s apply the same standard to Jesus. There are also historical sources outside Christianity that mention Jesus’ crucifixion.

Tacitus, a Roman historian who was certainly not a Christian, wrote that Jesus was executed under Pontius Pilate.

Josephus, a Jewish historian who was not a Christian either, also wrote about Jesus and his followers and referred to his execution.

So, do you believe these sources?”

He said,
“Errrmm… I don’t believe! Christians made those sources up, the Quran says Jesus wasn’t crucified, so I believe the Quran.”

And that’s where the double standard becomes obvious.

I said,
“By that same logic, I don’t believe Muhammad existed and Muslims made up the non-Islamic sources about Muhammad to convince people he existed.”

He said:
“I have something to stand on. The Quran is my proof that Jesus was not crucified.”

I said,
““I also have something to stand on, the Bible and the four Gospels, which were written long before the Quran by eyewitnesses and those who knew the eyewitnesses. The Bible clearly records that Jesus was crucified and rose again.”

Then came the response: “See, allah made it appear that way. The Bible has been corrupted over time.”

So I said:
“I don’t accept the Quran as a source that overrides the earlier testimony about Jesus, especially when Muhammad did not meet Jesus or His apostles. The Bible is sufficient evidence for my faith that Jesus was crucified and resurrected.

You cannot ask me to accept non-Christian historical sources when they support Muhammad’s existence, while rejecting non-Christian historical sources when they support Jesus’ crucifixion simply because the Quran says otherwise.

You’re applying one standard to Muhammad and another standard to Jesus.

That’s a double standard.”
